Same Day Hiring Event Tomorrow For Century, Santa Rosa Correctional Institutions

A same-day hiring event will be held Friday for Century Correctional Institution and the Santa Rosa Correctional Institution in Milton.
Applicants should bring a driver’s license, legible copy of birth certificate, social security card, high school diploma, GED or college transcripts and any name change documents (if applicable), such as a marriage certificate.
Veterans and current reservists/Guardsmen should bring a copy of their DD-214 or military ID, respectively. Laptops will be provided for online applications and scheduling the Criminal Justice Basic Abilities Test (required for employment). Applicants will have the opportunity to apply online and interview same day with institution administration.
Applicants must pre-register by call (866) 562-3362.
The hiring event will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, 6205 North W Street in Pensacola.

@Eric thank u for standing up for our officers my son worked at both places plus several threw out the state after 25 years so for anyone to say you just need a plus then go apply my daughter and others putting their life on the line to protect people like you

Your comments are insulting & rude to me and all of my Brothers & Sisters. If it were so easy to become a Correctional Officer, do you think that a hiring event would be necessary? I’m a 20-year-veteran of the Florida Department of Corrections and have worked at both Century C.I. & Santa Rosa C.I. and there are intelligent, dedicated, honest & trustworthy staff at both facilities. CO’s are greatly outnumbered and armed with only pepper spray, handcuffs and a two-way radio. One of the most thankless jobs ever, they risk their lives every day to bravely protect the citizens (including you) of this great state & country from convicted murderers, rapists, child molesters, thieves, drug dealers, etc. While this is not a job for just anyone with a pulse who applies…it does take heart and a special kind of person to turn this job into a successful career. #thinsilverline
