So many memories to share about Mr.( and Mrs. Helton!!) What a wonderful example of love and kindness they have shared with sooo many kids over the 50 or so years I have known them, including my family. We all spent many nights at their home, went to Atmore with them , visited with their family, picked blueberries, and yes, we were taken fishing as well!!! I caught my first fish, a 2 pounder with him. The kindness and patience I have today, I attribute to them, there are no words to describe the love and respect I have . I view them as parents, so Mr. Helton’s passing has left a hole in my heart, but I am happy he was doing one of the things he loved the most…FISHING!!! He touched the lives of so many people, and I pray he knew that he made a life long difference for us all!!! Rest in peace, dear friend, and in eternity with the Lord. You were a GOOD man and I will never forget your selfless care for children. Much love and endless hugs to Mrs. Helton and Michael. I love you very, very much!!! Barb
