August 24, 2018
A Cantonment man that fled from the hospital following a Nine Mile Road wreck is now in jail.
On August 15, Brandon Joseph Levy, 35, was traveling north on Old Palafox near Nine Mile Road fleeing the scene of a previous hit and run wreck in a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu when he caused anotherĀ crash involving four other vehicles, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Four other drivers – Charles Scott Swenson, 76, of Pensacola, Margaret Louise Voorhees, 86, of Cantonment, Amanda A. Tidwell, 82, of Cantonment, and Marcus Alan Greene, 53, of Pensacola – were not injured.
Levy was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital where he fled on foot and could not be located.
He has now been booked into the Escambia County Jail on charges of hit and run, reckless driving and resisting without violence. Bond was set at $5,500.

Judge:
FRYDRYCHOWICZ, JENNIFER J
Can we get the name of the ‘judge’ that issued this bail?
I am disgusted that all he got was a $5,500 bail. That is absolutely ludicrous! He fled TWO accidents he caused, not to mention what trauma he probably caused those elderly folks. He should be charged with attempted manslaughter for knowingly fleeing the accidents. Disgusting! what was he “on”?
really this bond is so low what is the point anyway of him even going to jail i dont get it at all . apparently having two wrecks this guy could careless about people peroid !!!!!!!!
550 dollars to get out and start all over . too bad he didnt run into someone like me because that hospital stay would have been permenant . they would have to pump sunshine to him . so with that being said and 550 to get out lets meet ok
wow, for 550 bucks he could get out, jump in another car and do it again.
