So This Beaver Heads Down To The Liquor Store On Highway 29…
July 3, 2018
A larger beaver was spotted alongside Highway 29 at Old Chemstrand Road, right in front of a liquor store, and it’s getting a lot of attention (and a lot of bad puns) on social media. Rick Littlefield said he was surprised to see the beaver, and it retreated into the drainage ditch shortly after these photos. Other local residents say they have seen beavers by the busy highway before. Photos courtesy Rick Littlefield for NorthEscambia.com, click to enlarge.

Take him to the nearest golf course..oh wait, was that Caddy shack ?
Seriously, Fish and Wildlife should be called, they will trap and relocate. (Sure hope so)
must have run out of Crown
“Lookin’ for love in all the wrong places….”
He looks big !
So just why did the beaver go to the liquor store.
Well Ron DeSantis was in town………
Smart beaver must of heard they have some of the best prices in town.
So, this Beaver, a Horse and Potbellied Pig on a leash walk into a liquor store…….
There is literally beaver damns across the street, this is their home, no need to relocate someone who’s been a local it’s whole life!
What an awesome critter, hope he makes it home soon and safely.
I don’t get the taxi comment, seems to me this person is doing what society expects them to do, not drink and drive.
Its not unusual for the Cantonment area to have a vast array of furry friends. A couple years ago, a potbellied pig was spotted on a leash at the Grocery Advantage, a few years ago, a customer came through the drive thru at Burger King on a horse. I guess these critters just like to call the north end of the county home. All I can say is, “Leave it to Beaver!”
Ole beaver just came to town for a drink.
So, people have it so bad, they have to take a taxi to the liquor store?
He needs to be relocated before he is hit by a car. And, it needs to be done ASAP.
Ward…. looks like the beaver has been drinking again…..
I guess he was going to get him a bottle for the fourth of July smart beaver get it before people start drinking and driving
Tell Martha she can send him to the beaver pond on Churchhouse Branch, next to Lathram Chapel {Jack’s Branch Road}.
…beaver needs to be relocated to Big Rock creek…
