Mary Ann Shoemo

Mary Ann Shoemo passed away on July 17, 2018 at her home in Cantonment, Florida at the age of 86. She was born on June 12, 1932 in Citronelle, Alabama to the late Marie Nettles.

Mary Ann attended school in Escambia County, Florida. She worked for many years at St. Regis Bay Plant and Escambia County School System. Mary Ann later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and retired in that field.

She met and married Andrew Shoemo, Jr. and to this union had five children. They shared their bond for 56 years until his death in 2005.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her oldest child, Alice Marie Shoemo.

Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memories her devoted daughters and caregivers, Carolyn Fleming and Margaret Cole of Cantonment, Florida; son, Clarence (Gladys) Shoemo of Panama City, Florida; daughter, Deborah Drive of Pensacola, Florida; nineteen grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Loretha (Tracy) Roberson of Syracuse, New York; two brothers-in-law, Bernie (Eleanor) Shoemo and Kenneth (Betty) Shoemo both of Pensacola, Florida; uncle, Robert Lee Williams of Cantonment, Florida; aunt, Robertha Harper of Syracuse, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Williams Cemetery, Cantonment, Florida.
