Man Charged With Buying Meth From Undercover Officers

A man was arrested after allegedly buying meth from undercover officers in Escambia County.
Officials said William Wilder bought approximately 15.6 grams of methamphetamine from undercover officers during an operation conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and ATF.
He was charged with first degree felony methamphetamine trafficking. He remained in jail with bond set at $50,000.

14 grams might not seem like a lot, but a typical user MIGHT use one gram per day. So somebody with 14 grams is definitely selling. Hence, they are a “drug dealer” and worthy of being caught.

This is so ridiculous. He buys 14 grams from under cover officers and is charged with trafficking. Sounds like a classic case of manifest injustice and entrapment. If they want to accomplish something catch the guys bringing this stuff in by the ton. This is s.o.p. around here…pathetic!
