Former FDLE Agent Sentenced To Life For Abusing Young Boys
July 10, 2018
A former Florida Department of Law Enforcement supervisor is headed to prison for the rest of his life for child sexual abuse.
Tuesday, Charles McMullen was sentenced to eight consecutive life terms and an additional 15 years to run concurrent to the life sentences.
McMullen was charged with one count of sexual battery of a child under 12, seven counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 12 and one count of promoting the sexual performance of a child.
McMullen was first arrested in November 2016 after an 8-year boy told investigators that McMullen had been touching him inappropriately on a frequent basis, followed by another 8-year old boy that made similar allegations and also claimed he was forced to touch McMullen.
Two additional victims came forward after seeing McMullen in the news.
McMullen investigated similar cases during his five year employment with the FDLE. He previously worked as Chief of the Cybercrimes Unit for then-Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum and for the Escambia County (AL) Sheriff’s Office.

I can’t begin to say how much I thank this judge I was there and I believe my God was in the courtroom I just want to say thank you for the news people that have gotten this story out and thank you for all the comments I have nothing but evil things to say about this man because he was truly Satan himself so thank you all for your comments and God bless
I am so glad to see justice. In many cases lately, I have noticed that the judges are doing a good job of punishing these heinous criminals.
Thank you God for this judge. Maybe the judge could hold a “learning class” and teach other judges how to do their job properly! There are bad judges in place and they play with people’s lives and destroy some!
McMullen is going to enjoy prison 24/7/365.
I can’t believe that someone who is or was associated with the law, was not ABOVE the law. I didn’t expect him to have a judgment that he deserved.. It would be nice if all had to abide by the Laws. Unfortunately, that is not always the case!
This one is no law enforcement officer – never was – this kind of perversion has probably been going on for years. He has impugned the honor and dignity of the whole law enforcement community. All rights and protection under the law should be stripped. He is a disgrace. More young lives traumatized forever by this despicable excuse for a human being. Scary part is – how many more are out there hiding among the honorable?
8 CONSECUTIVE life sentences!
WOW!!
Good job judge.
GENERAL POPULATION, Revoke this monster’s protective rights due to having been a Law Enforcement Officer.
LEO and other First Responders, this thing is NOT a Representative of Your Sacrifice and Help to Many people, Thank You and God Bless.
Justice has been served. I continue to pray for the children and for all of the LEOs that worked w this monster. I am proud that the court did their job no matter what his previous occupation and positions were. Thank u again to everyone who worked so Hard to find justice for these innocent children. Stay safe and God Bless You All
While prison is not pleasant for most people, I think it will particularly unpleasant for this man. With good reason. Former cop and child molester, he will not be a popular guy. Maybe PC for the rest of his life.
THANK YOU GOD, Judges and the victims for speaking up and letting this be known. Our prayers are with you young children.
The sorry part is that I know a good man this waste of human flesh busted for child porn. I believe he planted the evidence!
