Flomaton Man Charged With Attacking Woman, Holding Her Against Her Will

July 26, 2018

A Flomaton man has been charged with attacking a woman and holding her against her will.

Kenneth Allen Polk, 35, is charged with false imprisonment and battery.

The victim told deputies that her ordeal began at the casino in Atmore when Polk became jealous of men that were flirting with her. Once they arrived back at the victim’s Brewton home, Polk began repeatedly hitting her with his fists in her head and face and other parts of her body and choked her until she blacked out, according to an arrest report.

She said Polk ransacked her home into order to find her keys before choking her until she passed out.

The victim woke up to find Polk had driven her to the Pen Air credit union on North Century Boulevard where he forced her to withdraw cash from her account using an ATM, the report states.

A witness told deputies that he saw Polk punch the victim and choke her until she passed out again at Pen Air. He then reportedly drove north toward Flomaton, stopping at a gas station in Century where the victim escaped.

Deputies noted that the woman suffered busted lips, a blood nose, and scratches and bruises all over her body.

Polk remained in the Escambia County Jail Thursday morning with bond set at $30,000.

35 years old, people don’t just wake up one day ad decide to act this way. I wonder how many other women he has hurt in his 35 years of life. Maybe they should all contact the sheriffs office and try to put this person in jail for a time.

Been there done that. You people asking how did he forced her to get money. That is a really silly question. A lot of women say he can’t force me. Well yeah he can if he has beat you down so much, you can be forced into just about anything. And as far as him confronting another man he’s a woman beater. He probably can’t with another , his self is not a man.

@What book?—The story as written does not say she is his wife. Regardless, I don’t believe that even if she was, the Bible quote would certainly not apply in this case.

    @Anne 1 of 2,
The Bible makes several references stating that wives should/shall submit to their husbands in the book of Ephesians, Peter, Genesis, Corinthians, etc… However, I am certain that God would disapprove of all of the aforementioned behavior from the gambling to the domestic violence.

This is a dangerous man. When he snaps, there’s no stopping him. I hope they hold him behind bars forever.

I also would try to be more than a witness. But dealing with someone like that, there is a bigger chance of becoming a victim also. The poor woman was badly beaten. I would use the ATM if I was in her place. Anything to stop him before he kills her. I hope Brewton Police file multiple charges against him. So when or if he gets out of Escambia County Fl. Jail, Brewton will get him.

    REGARDING:
” How exactly did he force her to withdraw money from the ATM?”

Assuming the charges are correct, basically by threatening to kill or continue to harm her. He does not seem to be very nice.

    David for clarity

Where is it written that a woman belongs to a man? Did I miss a chapter in a book about life some where? How exactly did he force her to withdrawal money from the ATM? If I ever saw a man punching a woman out in town I’d be more than a witness,

If you are so jealous as to become enraged when men flirt with your girlfriend, why not be man enough to confront the men, not the girlfriend. If your girlfriend is untrustworthy, then leave her and find another.

…a $100,000 bond would not be too much for this dude…to treat a woman or any human the way he did should give him a long period of time behind bars to focus on growing up and dealing with his anger management issues..a little hard labor might help..

$30,000, bond? You’ve got to be kidding!! He will be home before she gets back from seeking medical attention!! This is just sick!! Praying this woman gets away from this scum before he kills her.
