April 10, 2018

A bad brake light led to a traffic stop and a drug trafficking charge against a Molino man.

John Homer Docherty, 36, was charged with  trafficking methamphetamine and two counts of possession a controlled substance without a prescription, all felonies.

An Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a passenger brake light out on W Street in Pensacola.  Docherty was a passenger in the car, and a K-9 alerted on the vehicle. Deputies recovered a total of 27.1 grams of meth from under the passenger seat and glove box, according to an arrest report.  They also reported finding 1.5 tables of Xanax and two Oxycodone tablets. All items were within Docherty’s control, according to the report.

Docherty remained in the Escambia County Jail with bond set at $130,000.

The driver was issued a citation for no seat belt.

I ever year of my elementary school in the same class with him! And there wasn’t even a handful of that actually graduated literally! He’s struggled with his home life! Like just about every other person in our class some of us got away from here but the rest of us that choose to stay here are all battling our own demons whatever it may be!!! Not one is better than the other whether its alcohol, cigarettes, etc…. But I personally know that each of us has something!!

berfore you judge. put yourself in the passenger seat. are you guilty of the crime or is the driver guilty of driving around with the narcotics in the car . why was’nt the driver arrested and the car confiscated and impounded.

People on drugs wander around, high, thinking nobody knows. Then they’re mystified when they randomly get stopped for something like a bad brake light. “Man, I just have the worst luck of anybody in the world!!”

No, you don’t, dumbo. LEO’s are trained, they know how to spot you. It’s all in the eyes. People who aren’t on drugs walk around bright eyed, eyes wide open. When a person is under the influence, the upper eyelid sits right on the pupil of the eye, that famous drowsy look.

I can tell. Anyone who knows what they’re looking at can tell – you’re high. I see it in Walmart. I see it in church, I see a lot of it in pictures of Hollywood stars out and about at the Oscars and Academy awards.

You can’t hide the fact you’re stoned, so don’t be flabbergasted when the blue lights start flashing behind you.

The driver only got a seat belt ticket? LOL. The cops had this dudes number. The break light was just the perfect reason to get this guy.
