Three Injured In Head-On Wreck East Of Flomaton

Three people were injured in a two vehicle head-on crash Friday night east of Flomaton.
The wreck occurred about 8:35 p.m. on Highway 31 near Old Highway 31. The three injured were transported to D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton by Escambia County (FL) EMS and McMillan Ambulance.
Additional details have not been released by Alabama State Troopers.
The Friendship and Flomaton fire departments responded, along with the Escambia County (AL) Sheriff’s Office and Flomaton Police Department.

@me….That is so scary! That would be terrifying meeting a car head on like that. It”s surprising & lucky nobody else was hurt! I’m glad your friend is ok.
@Flomaton Mom….yes, the person was going the wrong way. My friend encountered the person and had to pull into ditch to avoid them along with about four other cars. That was at the Twin Bridges. She continued on until hitting someone. I pray for those that were not as lucky as my friend.
Correction to my previous post… the wreck happened at mile marker 60 not 66
Head on crash? Why was the SUV going the wrong way? The wreck happened at mile marker 66, which is a mile before you get to Twin Bridges. This stretch of road is a straight-a-way. It’s hard to imagine someone going the wrong way and not realizing it right a way. Hope everyone is ok and recovers quickly.
