Regina M. Booth

Regina M. Booth, 93 of Pensacola, FL passed away April 18, 2018. She was born February 1st, 1925 in Wausau, WI to the late George and Elizabeth Denk. She is now reunited with her husband of 70 years, Norman C. Booth.

She is also preceded in death by her sister Lucille Whalen Moore, two sons-in-law, William (Bill) Thompson and Roy Flores and a nephew, Frederick ‘Butch’ Whalen. She worked as a bookkeeper in the auto parts industry, eventually opening Booth’s Auto Parts with her husband, Norman.

She was a founding member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Burse Club Director for over 50 years, and a member of the St. Thomas More Ladies Society. Regina and Norman square danced with the Swingin Saints, were members of the Golden Agers and Young at Heart. Her hobbies included sewing, counted cross stitching and baking. She was very devout in her Catholic faith and very active in her church community. She will be truly missed and her memory will be cherished by many.

Surviving her, are their children, Rev. Norman ‘Ed’ Booth of Jacksonville, FL, Beth Thompson of Sykesville, MD, Catherine (Gil) Chalker of Montgomery, AL, Mary (Dave) Just of Weeki Wachee, FL, Barbara (Richard) Harris of Molino, FL, Margaret (Gary) Frazier of Pensacola, FL and Frances Flores of San Antonio, TX, 12 grand children and 20 great grand children.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 23, from 6 to 8 PM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 N. New Warrington Rd., Pensacola, FL 32507. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3295 Barrancas Ave., Pensacola, FL 32507 on Tuesday, April 24 at 10:00 AM. Reception in Parish Hall following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 510 Bayshore Drive, Pensacola, FL 32507 or Covenant Care Inpatient Center, 5151 North Ninth Ave., First Floor, Pensacola, FL 32504.
