Common sense its not as common
Now they have not only a mess on 29 North by the interstate, but another set of lights, that makes(4) back to back and they are not in sync
This makes me happy.
David for happiness
To the Florida DOT: Do you realize you have an unused resource of experts that can expedite your construction projects. They might have learned their craft by living in, or around Atlanta. Of course, they may have realized they may have to show up at a construction site to show their expertise…and impress us all.
fix pine forest rd.problems
wannaKno, you are 100% correct. That outside lane was closed off for 3-4 months for no other reason than they needed to pour the concrete pad (1-2 days) and then put the sign up (1 day). The remainder of the 3-4 months there was no reason they could not have moved the orange can over and open the lanes.
There is a ton of things they could finish that would relieve congestion. There is nothing preventing I-10 east and west bound between Avalon Blvd and the Escambia Bay Bridge from being finished, but we will keep being forced to drive through construction zones for another 3-6 months until they get around to completing it.
They closed it for a SIGN to hang a stupid sign!!!
They could fix over half the traffic problems in the town if they would stop
playing games. Why should it take 3yrs to fix olive rd. Heck look at Davis Hwy and
University, they added extra lights and people STILL run those lights!! sign before intersection says DO NOT BLOCK What idiot thought that redesign through?
All about getting that Almighty dollar Right. (the longer and bigger mess they make(FDOT) the more money they can beg for and we the people are still stuck in traffic)
They’ve only torn up every flipping major road in this town. How about they don’t start any more projects until they FINISH the other ones correctly.
oh wait that requires common sense.
@ fred….my thoughts exactly. I traveled that route every day, ranting and raving, until I realized I was part of the problem. I started taking another route.
Do you think they should completely shut any road down until they make all repairs to the point it meets our expectations?
It’s about time, that was a huge traffic hazard, causing tie ups every day. No one could figure out why it was closed like that to begin with, except for the entertainment of the DOT.
About time…
Fantastic. Good job highway dept.
