North Escambia Airman Surprises Sisters After Two Years Overseas

April 21, 2018

Three North Escambia students received a big surprise Friday as their older brother in the Air Force returned home on leave after two years in Okinawa Japan.

Noah Coker, a 2016 graduate of Northview High School, surprised his sisters at Bratt Elementary School, Ernest Ward Middle School and Northview High School.

At Ernest Ward Middle, the surprise occurred in front of a crowded lunchroom. Principal Nancy Perry called seventh grader Britney Kimbler front and center, turned her away from a door asĀ  Noah walked in. Britney turned and sprinted to Noah for a big hug.

God Bless as i have family serving but didn’t realize how much you think about your family until it is them that is sent, as from a family who only had a couple of deployment before you really understand. The love of family is so special! We were all sitting at the table with Britney till Mrs.Perry called her and she called one of the teachers and then she saw her brother and he was so adorable 2 years away from your loved one. I started crying because it was so emotional. But I’m glad that your brother is back. Love The Coker Family.

The love of family is what sustains us all. Two years of separation and the joy of reunion shows how strong those bonds are. May the family enjoy their time together and celebrate those bonds.
