One person was shot at a park in Century Friday afternoon.

The adult male ran across the railroad tracks to the nearby Century town shop on Alger Road for help. He was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

“The victim is not being forthcoming with information on what happened,” Hobbs said.

My kids have practices everyday off the week besides Wednesday’s and Game days are twice a week! This really makes me uncomfortable and it’s sad I can’t feel safe having my kids at their tball field!!!! And for the people doing these kinda things at the park should be ashamed of themselves to do any fighting, drug dealing,SHOOTING and no telling what else at a park where there is kids everywhere!!

May sound strange but one way to discourage drug traffic. Show up in mass, families, chairs, exercise classes in the Park. Kids Birthday parties, music gatherings. Take it back. It belongs to the good people of Century. The presence of the good folks and ECSO drive bys will be a deterrent.

There is a lot of drug active in the park even during the day.you can have your childern playing and one car will drive up than another. They will exchange the items and leave they don’t care what you see.

Wow..wonder why they won’t tell. Maybe because the judicial system would let them out with a slap on the shooters wrist? What are friends for?

Possibly an individual didn’t want to wait in line at the splash pad? Certainly not drug related.

I saw a strange acting person this morning at the speed bump close to the Autism school around 8:30am. They just kept walking back and fourth and they had put their jacket on the speed bump sign. But whn I went back that way they were gone. Hope it wasn’t related
