Delton E. Boswell, Jr. aka “Gene, BOS, and Junior”, 54, of Cantonment, FL, passed away on April 14, 2018. Delton was born on October 25, 1963, in Pensacola, FL, to Delton and Doris Bullard Boswell. On February 15, 1984 he married his love, Tammy Henderson Boswell, in Century, FL.

Delton worked for Escambia County for 33 years. He worked for 26 years as an officer, road corrections officer, corporal, and the administrative sergeant. He was also a Masonic Master Mason of Naval Lodge No. 24 F&A.M.

His interest included caring for others first, his work family as much as his own and working on his old car.

All that knew him loved him and was adored by him in returned.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Boswell.

Delton is survived by his wife, Tammy; son, Jacob Boswell (Caitlyn Woodel); grandson, Brantley Boswell; parents; brother, Tommy Boswell; angel daughter, Mariah Wright; ‘lil’ brother, Patrick McGlothren; and very special friend, Kevin Barnes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2018, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Ted Bridges of Walnut Hill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday night, April 18, 2018, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Bohannon, Danny Smillie, Patrick McGlothren, Rick Tee Van, John Wayne Henderson, and Wes Henderson.

Kevin Barnes, Robert Oliver, Chad Sims, Mark Butler, Dusty Burkette, Chris Moye, Jack Martin, and Lonnie Wilson will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is entrusted with arrangements.

    He was a good brother, Uncle, and Brother-in-law.. and a good role model for others. He kept me laughing, We sure will miss him, Kathy.
