Cantonment Man Wins $1 Million In Florida Lottery Scratch Off Game

A Cantonment man won a $1 million prize in the Florida Lottery’s $10,000,000 World Class Cash scratch-off game.

Beverly “Lawrence” Miller, 66, claimed his prize at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, choosing to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $748 thousand.

Miller purchased his winning ticket for $25 from CMP Food Mart, located at 400 North Highway 29 in Cantonment. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

    Good for you,is was your $25 that you I’m sure worked for and deserve to spend it on whatever you choose and I might add was obviously a wise choice.HAve a great time spending it now ,and I’m gonna go try myself

    @nod, I agree $25 is a lot of money to spend on a lottery ticket, but this type behavior likely explains why 70% of lottery winners are bankrupt in a few years. Hopefully Mr. Miller invests and spends wisely and ends up in the 30% group.

    I have yet to figure out how anyone can afford $25 for a lottery ticket. If I had that kind of money I would probably be well off and not need to win a million. Congrats to Mr. Miller, my new best friend.
