Charles Nathaniel Carden

Mr. Charles “Chuck” Nathaniel Carden, age 78, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018, in Texas.

Mr. Carden was born in Pollard, AL. He was a former resident of Flomaton and Pollard, AL and had resided in Atmore, AL for the past 14 years. He was an avid golfer, Alabama Fan and was a member of the Carden Singers and Friendship Freewill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Nic and Katie Carden; one sister, Liz Burnham; one brother, Doug Carden; and grandson, Ryder.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie Carden of Atmore, AL; one son, Danny Carden of Michigan; one step-son, Michael (Shirley) Boatwright of Atmore, AL; two daughters, Donna Best of Pensacola, FL and Katie Carden of Pensacola, FL; one step-daughter, Rebecca (Billy) Odom of Gun Barrel, TX; seven grandchildren; two step-grandsons; one step-granddaughter; four great-grandchildren and two great step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Burnham officiating.

Burial will follow at the Pollard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matt Boatwright, Mark Marrow, Jason Kalem, Johnny Dunn, Tony Moye and Frankie Moye.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes is in charge of all arrangements.
