Cantonment Man Charged With Aggravated Child Abuse

February 3, 2018

A Cantonment man has been charged with aggravated child abuse for allegedly hitting a toddler with various objects.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office was called to the emergency room at Sacred Heat Hospital where they made contact with Albert Lee McClammy and a 3-year old suffering from two black eyes, one of which was swollen shut and bruising to his torso, face and head.

McClammy told deputies that he was watching his fiance’s child while she was at work and the child fell off a scooter. When the mom returned home and found the injuries, she did not believe the injuries were consistent with a fall from a scooter. The child told investigators at the Gulf Coast Kid’s House that McClammy hit him with baseball and pushed him while he was in a car seat, causing his head to hit a window, an arrest report states. He also allegedly hit the child in the face with a toy remote control police car and put a rag in his mouth. The baseball referred to by the child was later found to be hard stress ball.

McClammy was released from the Escambia County Jail on a $10,000 bond

People who are caught with marijuana usually spend more time in jail then those who hurt children!!! I know from experience & it’s sad how messed up our justice system really is!!!

    CONTEMPLATING:
“Fiance. Ever notice how these abusers are always fiances?”

    I have.

I have long suspected it was because the term “shack-up” has fallen from favor for some unknown reason. It implies a commitment to each other officially leading to a public rite expressing that commitment. Both of Trayvon Martin’s parents had such fiances as best I can recall — neither parent had a clue where he was when he died.

“Close personal friend” might someday be a better replacement. Of course, it might really be true in this case, bound to happen every now and then.

    David for loved, protected children

I don’t know what has happened, don’t have a clue. The details are based on a what a 3 years old said and who knows what the adults who interviewed the child were trying to get out of that child. If you have children, you know you can easily get any story from a child that small, even from a 7 years old. Yet the reporters are quick to convict and horrify the public that can be manipulated almost as easy as a 3 years old child.

Big tough guy felt the need to hurt a defenseless little child. Hey Albert, Karma comes around.

If he had immediate access to $1000 to bail out, he can’t blame his behavior on financial stress, Of course people use all kinds of excuses why they abuse helpless children or animals. The mother better do some soul searching, any domestic violence will get worse.

Fiance. Ever notice how these abusers are always fiances? I think they use the word to suggest they are nice guys, or to make themselves seem closer to the woman. I wouldn’t leave my cat with my fiance these days. Children come first!

Why a GROWN MONSTER would abuse a Child knowing he could not defend his self. Shame on him. Guess it makes him feel BIG. . He should not show his self in public.

Albert is a coward and absolute trash. What he did is unforgivable. He should be locked up for life. Unfortunately, he will probably just get a ‘time out’. Albert Lee should never get out of prison, just sayin.

Ten thousand is not enough for someone that does a child that way its my opinion but i dont think thats nearly enough an adult maybe but not a kid because he or she cannot defend there selfs

I hope the mom has enough about her to put her child first and get rid of him. Those situations are hard sometimes, but please make the right decision!!!

Released?! Really?! Just to go abuse another baby? He’ll get what’s coming for him one day and I hope the cops turn the other cheek.
