Escambia Jail Medical Director Terminated

Escambia County Medical Director for Public Safety Paul Henning, who also served as the medical director at the Escambia County Jail, was terminated on Thursday, effective immediately. The reason for that termination has been not been provided by the county.

Henning took over jail medical services in January 2016.

    And the sorry saga of the jail continues. Didn’t the county say they were going to run this better and cheaper than the sheriffs office. If I was Sheriff I would never take this disaster back.

    Henning has the letters “M.D.” following his name on his shirt insignia. Is this guy a medical doctor? If not, sort of misleading, huh? “Medical Director” is already spelled out on his shirt.

    Terminated effective immediately? Reason for that termination has been not been provided. Doesn’t sound good…
