I’d recommend staying away from the Old Palafox bridge that crosses over I-10. it has red clay on it, and that actually makes it worse than just leaving it alone. I can’t imagine anyone doing that, because red clay is made up of flakes rather than granular grains like sand, and becomes very slippery when it gets wet. Back in the 70s, the roads were iced and they used clay, and it was like putting grease on the road. Very poor decision!
