Toyz For Kidz Bike Ride Provides For Needy Kids (With Photo Gallery)

December 10, 2017

Santa had some very special helpers Saturday as the LA Bikers rolled through Bratt, Flomaton and Atmore making sure that dozens of  needy kids had presents for Christmas this year.

It was the 17th annual Toyz For Kidz Ride organized by the LA Bikers.

Dozens of children received new bicycles and helmets, clothes, shoes and lots of toys. Dozens of bikers took part in the event with stops at Bratt Elementary, Flomaton and the Atmore City Hall.  The bikers also made large donation to the Atmore Fire Department’s toy drive.

My good friend and Shriner Steve Grant aka “Killer” is the Santa on that ride. It is a wonderful thing those La Bikers are doing. The smile is the payoff for any Shriner.

I am honored to see the good works of my family. I would just like to say it is an honor and a privilege to call my big brother Peewee Powell his wife Ms. Annie my beautiful niece Jody Powell family. It is an unconditional love they have to be such good stewards of these families. And a shout out to Atmore’s mayor Jim Staff for his involvement as well. May God continue to bless each of all of you with your health to continue with all of these blessings. May God bless you all

If the Lord has blessed you, then share those blessings with those less fortunate.

The Lord will like it, the recipient will appreciate it and you will feel better for it.

WONDERFUL when the community and its people turn out to do things for those who may be less fortunate. I love doing things locally, right here where we can see the difference nearly anything can mean to a child, family or home.
Christmas can be any day of the year when the spirit of sharing and giving is in our hearts.
Isn’t it so Beautiful to hear so many people saying MERRY CHRISTMAS
