The Grinch That Stole Food On Christmas Eve

December 25, 2017

A local family that operates a produce stand in Walnut Hill on the honor system is looking for a less than honorable thief that stole food from them early Christmas Eve morning.

Video surveillance shows the man try to get into a cash box before stealing produce valued at about $20 from the small roadside produce stand on Highway 97 at Mason Road just before 4 a.m. Sunday.

The couple wants the Grinch to return and pay up, or simply let them know that he needed the food.

@ David Green,..that’s a good one!!!! At Mick,…. your right about those folks. They’d help anybody that needed it. The punk should be very glad he didn’t encounter that hard working man. Just because someone is kind,…..don’t mistake that for weakness. Punk could’ve been shot!!!!!!!

I know who the criminal is. It’s sad that it’s my cousin, but I have messaged the owner of the stand and I am waiting for his reply.

Among decent folks the honor system works just fine. You could have manned up and just explained a hardship situation and these folks most likely would have given you the food. But, there is no honor amongst thieves and criminals so you went the despicable cowards route. You brought shame upon yourself and your family name.

I have never met David Huie Green, but he is one of my favorite people. He is a common sense voice in this crazy world. Thanks for making me laugh. Merry Christmas and may God bless you.

Anne for more commentators like you!

If he just needed food he had no reason to try to take the cash box. He should have put what he could into the box. Or maybe did some work for the food. Farmers are such kind people this farmer seems very nice it’s sad someone did this.

For punishment, may he look like that forever
