Local Woman Celebrates 105th Birthday

Myrtle Louise Joiner Peacock Gilmore recently celebrated her 105th birthday, surrounded by family and friends, at Solaris HealthCare on University Parkway.
When asked if she was having a good birthday, she replied, “I’ve had so many Happy Birthdays, I’ve run out of places to keep them.”
Myrtle attributes her long life to being thankful. She has said that she rarely goes more than a few minutes without thanking the Lord for all He’s done for her and her family.
She is the oldest of six living generations (pictured top).

My other mother, such a Godly lady! We spent a lot of time
Talking about the Lord. We sewed together prayed together
And went to a lot of garage sales. I love her so much and will

This lady has been my mother in law for almost 50 years, and I have never heard her say one thing negative about anyone. I thank my Lord for her in my nightly prayers.
How wonderful to read about someone who has lived this long and give God the praise for all her blessings and many years here. Congratulations and keep on thanking God it has worked for you all these years!
