Katie Mae Barnhill

Mrs. Kattie Mae Barnhill, 72, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 in Atmore, Alabama.

Mrs. Barnhill was a resident of Atmore, AL, a native of Stanley Crossroads, AL and lived most of her life in Davisville, FL. She was a member of the Gospel Light Holiness Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Alice Buckhault; son, Alan Keith Barnhill; brothers, Jesse James Buckhault, Clinton Jim Buckhault and J.P. Jackson “Buddy” Buckhault; sisters, Rose Roberson, Louise Hadley Donaldson and Geraldine “Pettie” Booker and granddaughter, Summer Gattis.

She is survived by her husband, Carl R. Barnhill of Atmore, AL; two sons, Donald Barnhill of Atmore, AL and Steve Barnhill of Gulf Breeze, FL; one daughter, Janet Kay (Gary) Gattis of Atmore, AL; two sisters, Daisy Hendricks of Stanley Crossroads, AL and Ouida (Raymond) Wall of Nokomis, AL; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Rolin officiating.

Burial will follow at the Wild Fork Cemetery in Brewton, Alabama.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2017, from 9 a.m. until service time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Coleman, Jerry Gehman, David Gehman, Deanna Macks, George Hendricks and Brandon Wall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Phyllis Ward, Johnny Rolin, Ray Rolin, Keith Hadley, Pamela Rackard, Dale Gehman and Nancy Huggins Peters.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes is in charge of all arrangements.

    So sorry to hear of Katie’s passing. We were classmates at Wallace school. I never forgot her. Rest in peace my friend.
