Cantonment Man Charged With Molesting 10-Year Old

A Cantonment man is facing a life felony child sexual abuse charge.
Carlo Antonio Alex Bryant, 30, is charged with lewd and lascivious behavior/molestation of a child.
He allegedly had inappropriate contact with a 10-year girl during an incident last May, according to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office report.
Bryant denied the allegations, telling Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies that he was passed out after drinking “Loco” beer during the time period in which incident was alleged to have occurred. The victim’s mother told authorities that Bryant had inappropriate contact with another child two months earlier, also claiming that he did not know what he was doing because he had been drinking.
Bryant remains in the Escambia County Jail with bond set at $150,000.

Old puppy is correct, the article did not state they knew each other intimately. Just stands to reason if a stranger molested my child back in May I would not wait 7 months before pressing charges. My bad for jumping to conclusions that something must have happened in the meantime to bring it to light now. Of course it is possible that mom reported the incident at the time it occurred and the investigation took 7 months to complete and result in his arrest. My apologies.
“I wuz drunk at the time,” has been used to excuse a vast number of crimes over the years.

@bewildered, the mother said “with another child” but that doesn’t mean it was her child. Anyway that should have been a red flag for her not to have her daughter around him. Guilty until proven incident when it comes to protecting my children.
@bewildered. No where in the article does it say the victim’s mother and culprit are bf & gf. No where in the article does it state the previous victim was the child of the mother in the second incident. Please stop reading facts that aren’t there and stick to the actual facts of the article.
Please – looks like the relationship between mom and boyfriend has gone sour! Mom claims he also molested another child 2 months ago. What the heck? Is she idly sitting by while some man is sexually molesting her children? People are going nuts – if the sexual molestation charge proves to be correct, she needs to be charged for not reporting the first incident. If not true, there should be consequences for filing a false report.
