Yes, all of that damage was caused by the bike. The driver of the car is my son. He & my Dad picked out the car about 2 months ago and the body was in perfect condition (save for a paint job needed on the hood) until this instance. It’s his first car so he has many pictures of him in front of it up until this accident.

Several weeks ago I too saw a young man on a four-wheeler, flying down Muskogee Rd. I thought that was nuts, but what was far worse was he had a toddler in his lap. I don’t know if it was the same young man who was riding this motorcycle, but whoever you are, please don’t do this anymore. You could kill yourself and an innocent child. Maybe you feel like you are invincible, but that little one isn’t. It’s foolish to take risks like that with someone else’s life.

“He don’t ride the break the rules”? If he’s riding that bike on the county right of way he’s breakung the rules! The guys I see riding those bikes are usually riding beyond their ability and certainly not riding with any common sense. I’ve been going down Muscogee more than once and one if those fools will pass me showing their azzes on the shoulder. If he was riding geared up in a place that that type if bike is legal there are two things that would not have happened. 1- he wouldn’t have hit a car, and 2- he wouldn’t have been hurt as bad IF he hit anything at all. Not riding to break the rules………whatever.

I’ve seen this guy and his friend ride these dirt bikes around Kingsfield Road, Goldenrod Road, Old Chemstrand…..they FLY and have no regard for vehicles legally driving on the roads. If they want to kill themselves….fine……but they are going to kill an innocent person if LEO’s don’t put a stop to it. Please stop before someone innocent gets hurt or killed. I’d like a bumper sticker that says, “Motorcyclists, watch for cars. Look twice.”

Most bike riders drive cars/trucks also. It isn’t the vehicle, It’s the one at the wheel who is responsible .When an offroad vehicle meets a street vehicle the one who isn’t legal should bear the burden. I do have respect of our FHP and I’m sure they’ll have it figured out.

These people that ride the 4 wheelers and dirt bikes up and down Muscogee have no respect for the legal drivers on the road! They have at times had a baby in their lap riding like crazy people and think they have the ride a way! We were afraid something like this would happen, lucky for them it wasn’t more serious! Really wish the cops would crack down on the laws and arrest them for breaking the law!

Strange it looks like the one from Highway 164 that rides all over the North End of the county up and down the highways with his big buddy on the four wheeler.

To me, as a former dirt bike rider, looking at the dirt bike and the car, it looks like the guy was actually doing a wheelie at the point of the collision. The car has tire markings coming down from the top of the drivers door going down, not up. You also can see the marks on the skid plate under the dirt bike. I really don’t know but that could explain all the damage to the car compared to the dirt bike’s damage. Glad all the folks involved in the collision wasn’t seriously hurt. FYI; They named those two wheelers “DIRT” bikes for a reason. Responsible comes with the rider. Ride safe folks, not carelessly and foolish!

All it takes is a little bit of speed to do a lot of damage.
Hope the rider is okay after this.

This same guy rides this dirt bike South on 29, in the heavy, early morning traffic; weaving in and out of vehicles.

  20. Wow on November 7th, 2017 10:04 am

I see this same bike all the time on my way to work on the street popping wheelies and flying down muscogee rd I knew it was a matter of time before someone got hurt prayers for the person that was injured

I agree – if all that damage can be attributed to a bicycle that seems totally intact – we best all go back using bikes to veer out in traffic. But who is to say – Golf carts are really sturdy. My neighbor’ s kid ran into a mailbox cemented into the ground and tore it all to pieces – not even a scratch on the electric cart.

Hmmm….. the damage to the vehicle looks far more excessive than that of the dirt bike; hard to believe that the dirt bike caused all of the damage.
