Search Continues For Killer Known To Murdered Molino Woman

October 24, 2017

It’s been nearly six months since a Molino woman was murdered, and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says the hunt for the killer continues.

Anna Louis Brown, also known as Anna Louise Brown Vega, was found shot and killed on Gibson Road off Crabtree Church Road in Molino on April 30. Brown, 38, was pronounced deceased at the scene; her body was discovered on or near the roadway.

“We are still fully committed to solving this case,” Maj. Andrew Hobbs of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said Monday afternoon.

Hobbs said investigators believe the murder was not a random act of violence, and they believe Brown knew the person that killed her. No suspect has been named.

Anyone with any information on the shooting is asked to call the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at  (850) 436-9620 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP.

Have there been any valid updates on this young woman’s murder? I did not know her personally but know people close to her and have just been heartbroken by this tragedy from day one. I am praying the investigators can catch the person or people responsible for this heinous crime.

Thank you Mr. Lamb. I’m praying that Anna’s killer is arrested soon and the family can have closure. You are right, if they have persons of interest, they will slip up eventually. No one can stay too perfect that when making a little mistake will get them caught.

Can’t believe ECSO has not charged someone in this case. It’s a murder that happened in broad daylight according to the story. I’ve read past reporting about it being someone she knew which should make this fairly straight forward to arrest or indict. There are also vague comments about the family knowing who might be responsible. Why is this so hard? Is the Sheriff’s Office that clueless?

If the killer is the only one who knows who did this, and does not slip up, if there is no physical or circumstance, he may simply always be a person of interest. He may become overburdened with guilt, even sociopaths can have a crisis of conscience.

In conclusion, no one escapes the Lord’s judgment. He pounds his nails flush.

    Howie,
THERE ARE SOME ‘PERSONS OF INTEREST” . They cannot be divulged here for obvious reasons. A lot cannot be said here. The culprit will slip up some time and then Whammo!
“be sure your sins will find you out!

We love and miss Anna! Our family wants closure, and also seek justice. Please pray the person who chose to end her life will confess!

    Anna was my sisters daughter.
PLEASE, if you saw anything on this day suspicious on Gibson or Crabtree Rd or have any information on this crime , Call ESCO and lets get this murderer.
    ANY INFO would be appreciated.

That person she knew is either 1. Still out there and not talking .. or .. 2. They are dead themselves. Certainly someone in her family or a friend knows who she was acquaintances with. This could be on the list of “Cold Cases” in the county if it doesn’t get resolved. Was any of her possessions missing as in robbed? Or point blank shot for no reason that anyone knows of? I remember reading that she was a well-liked lady. Still praying that the murderer is found or their conscience takes them to turn themselves in.

Thanks for the update… Been wondering if this case had reached any closure… Unfortunately apparently it has not… Somebody’s got to know something and should get the courage to do the right thing…
