Century Man Charged With Stealing Lunch, Steak Knife From Restaurant

October 13, 2017

A Century man is facing multiple charges after allegedly failing to pay for a meal and stealing a steak knife from a local restaurant.

Na’Keetric Devonte Davison, 25, was charged with committing a third degree felony with a weapon, possession of cocaine, retail theft and petit theft for the incident Wednesday.

The Southern Panhandle restaurant reported that Davison left the restaurant without paying for his $21.48 lunch and was walking north on North Century Boulevard. Responding Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies caught up with Davison near Zion Street.

After being instructed to keep his hands out of his pockets, Davison reached back into his pockets, prompting a deputy to draw his weapon and order Davison to remove his hands, according to an arrest report. After he was placed in handcuffs, deputies reported finding a restaurant steak knife in his pocket. When it was removed, a small plastic bag containing what was later identified as crack cocaine fell to the ground.

A restaurant staff member was able to positively identify Davison as the person who did not pay for lunch and identify the steak knife as belonging to the business.

Davison was remained in the Escambia County Jail with bond set at $3,000.

Chris explained it much better than I did. His just wasn’t up yet when I posted my theological contemplations. If I wore a hat, it would be off in respect to him.

So he’s not a user of crack cocaine, he is simply just a delivery service?

    REGARDING:
” What happened? where did we go wrong as parents? as a society? how can we repair these broken minds and hearts? How, at this late hour, do we impress upon these kids that it is not acceptable to take something that someone else worked for?”

WE did not go wrong as parents. Some parents produced children who became adults who do or did things we do not like. (So did Adam, Abraham, Noah, Jacob/Israel, David, Samuel, …) Even then, it is not uncommon for the parents to be satisfied.

Our society is flawed because it is composed of flawed persons, but not more so than any previous one.

If we could fix flaws, others could create more. Add that to the fact that we would be changing how others were allowed to think and consider the wrongness of the wish.

Na’Keetric can repent of evil if he wishes — or not. He is free to choose every day, just like the rest of us. His choices are not our failures or victories.

    David for better people

    REGARDING:
““He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’”

Always interesting how many take that to mean anyone by looking alone at scriptures like:

    Matthew 25:45
“Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.”

and ignore the fact that it builds on scriptures like:

    Matthew 25:40
“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these MY BRETHREN, ye have done it unto me.”

And they thereby derive interpretations involving the good Lord demanding businesses give away their wares and help addicts get more drugs, more liquor, more weapons.

These are — to me at lest — obviously false.
    False teachings are lies.
Satan is the father of lies.

    John 8:44
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

I may be misapplying it as I believe others do, but I doubt it.

David for good Father — rather than other

had he been honest and told the people at the panhandle he was hungry but had no money, they would have fed him in return for some work. they are good folks.

Just dee, please wake up…….don’t be so naïve!!!!!

  13. Dan on October 13th, 2017 12:11 pm

    Just Dee:
Stealing is stealing… He obviously had enough money to buy the crack cocaine on his person. And the knife, I guess that was solely for protection, right? This guy is young enough and likely able bodied enough to get a job, but I guess it’s easier to just steal. Stop making excuses for lowlife drug addicts. I might be a little more sympathetic if he wasn’t found with crack

This guy was hungry for something good. I read about this in a book one time and I don’t care about the psychology I feel sad for him. There has to be help to straighten out his way of thinking and get him away from the drug path. I am glad they got the knife before he had the chance to get himself into more trouble. He needs prayers.

  16. christian on October 13th, 2017 11:10 am

just dee, id he needed food so bad why did he also have possesion of an expensive drug that also suppresses appetite. which leads to believe he is not the user.

    Just dee:

He didn’t just steal lunch – he stole a freakin knife! What exactly do you think he was going to do with that knife besides use it to steal something else or kill someone!

  18. lol on October 13th, 2017 10:46 am

Well…..At least he will get “free food” in Jail!!!!!

  19. Hoosier Daddy on October 13th, 2017 10:15 am

Expecting a “free meal.” Must be a revolutionary concept.

When I look in this guys eyes I see so much sadness. My heart is broken for the state of our youth. What happened? where did we go wrong as parents? as a society? how can we repair these broken minds and hearts? How, at this late hour, do we impress upon these kids that it is not acceptable to take something that someone else worked for? When will it become apparent that a job of your own will allow you to buy what you want and need? Is it really that hard to get up and go to work? I promise you don’t have one single problem that a JOB won’t cure!

There’s No Such Thing as a Free Lunch.??? REALLY!!!!!!?????!!!!!1
Mr. Na’Keetric Devonte Davison is a genius in the workings of “the system” as he leveraged a $21.48 lunch and a stolen steak knife into 24 hour a day, 7 days a week of Free Food, Clothing, Medical Care, Legal Representation, a Semi-Private Room and bed and a Secure and Safe Environment for himself.
Na’Keetric is a genius as he is reaping the rewards of those of us who work daily to provide for the kids and family around the table at home and who do not take from the public by being put into Public Housing at the jail.

  22. Just dee on October 13th, 2017 8:47 am

The guy stole lunch. Food. I mean, I am all against stealing. Buy this guy obviously needed food. He didn’t take a car, or clothes, or your Xbox 1. He stole food. I’m not sure I would have pressed charges. I think I would have brought him back to the restaurant and asked him if he wanted to make amends some how. Once again, just my opinion.

  23. Willis on October 13th, 2017 7:33 am

Well a $21 lunch would make me rethink before ordering. But pay you must to truly enjoy your lunch.
