C.L. Ellis

C.L. Ellis, of Pensacola, FL passed away Friday September 30, 2017. He was born to the late John C. Ellis and Eva Mae Diamond (Ellis). He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a hardworking, dedicated family man who loved to laugh and enjoy life.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ray, Willie Lee, Herbert and Johnnie Ellis; sister, Mammie Lee (Ellis) Smith; daughter, Dawn Marie Ellis; and grandson, John C. Ellis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Claudia Brewton Ellis; daughter, Diana Ellis-Carter; son C.L Ellis, II (Carrie); stepchildren, Debra DiRocco-Bickley (Johnny) and Andra Thomas-Bowers; grandchildren, James S. Carter II, (Danielle), Lee W. Carter (Amanda), Cayla L. Ellis, Dominick C. Ellis, Emily E. Ellis, Ronald E. Bonds, Leah M. Bonds, Amanda Bowers-Griffiths (Clint) and Derrick R. Bowers; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Christopher, Cole, Ava, Peyton, Finlan, Kylie, Keegan and Ethan; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2017, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Brother James McGaughey officiating.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is entrusted with the arrangements.
