Wow I was personally friends with a Brian so it’s crazy scrolling down my fb feed and seeing this. He is one of the most brilliant and creative people I know, but after he got in trouble in school this one time I remember feeling like oh no you have so much going for your but you’re getting a bit too involved in this drug life and that’s gonna come back and bite you in the butt. He just really needs to find himself and I hope he does. The dude has aspirations but he’ll only properly be able to persue them if he leads a clean life but I don’t know his personal life and everyone has a reason for thinking what they’re doing is okay. Sometimes you gotta hit rock bottom.

None of us live in glass houses so we should not throw stones. Brian made some bad choices, but it does not make him a bad person. I’ll be thinking of him and hoping he turns his life around when this is done. Hang in there, kitten.

  7. a friend of his on September 29th, 2017 9:31 pm

To all who may not know who he is, don’t even bother commenting your opinion. He made a poor decision and is paying for it. We ALL have made bad decisions, some have gotten caught, some haven’t. He’s a good guy, I went to school with him. He’s young and will get passed this and hopefully learn from it. Just because you were one of the lucky few who didn’t get caught making a bad decision, doesn’t give you the right to judge someone who has, especially if you don’t know them personally. You can’t judge him off of his charges. He is NOT the only one in this world doing what he’s doing, so stop treating him like he is. The jail is over crowded, he will most likely get felony probation, we’ll see you soon man, free you!

If you think the streets are safer now then you don’t know the streets work like a hydra.. Cut off one head, another one grows in its place. If you think lives were saved, then you don’t have common sense. If you injected heroin regularly do you think you would stop because 1 of your dealers got busted? Nah. You’d be working overtime to find some new score, and probably over-bang when you get it because you’ve been waiting so long. Some of these opinions make it obvious some people don’t know what the war on drugs is all about.

  9. Citizen II on September 28th, 2017 11:22 pm

The arrest probably saved his life and other lives as well that he would have been responsible for. An addict is not the same person you knew prior to their addiction, Though they may be saved by the consequences of the arrest. Jail will bring a temporary sobriety giving him a chance to recover and probation if he gets it, will bring the drug tests that may keep him clean for the time he is on probation. NA is his best hope and Al-Anon would be the best help for his parents to get the correct support from those who have been and are in their positions, So that they are not used for the rest of their lives to enable him. All easier said than done. For the sake of the parents, I hope it works out this way. Sad for the parents and those who care.
Bail him out of jail and you and he could be in the same position when he is 50.

B-Rob, I love and support you. You some poor choices, but your a wonderful person! You’ll make it past this. Everyone with the negative comments…you don’t know him and his family. There great people. Everyone makes mistakes. He has a bright future. He will overcome this!

Yeah folks… this kid is a great person… so talented… and comes from a great family. Right up to the time he sells something to someone who runs head on into a car and kills the occupants of said vehicle graveyard dead.
I’m not judging this kid… his actions did that.
    BB

  12. Jenn on September 28th, 2017 8:10 pm

This kid made a bad decision. He has some nasty charges. But in all honestly probably will never see the inside of a prison. He will either end up with all charges dropped down and at most felony probation with adjudication withheld…or all charges dropped. Money talks in the court system. Hopefully he wakes up and doesn’t end further screwing up his life and his loved ones lives as well.

  13. Jett on September 28th, 2017 7:30 pm

If you don’t know brian, then you should probably not talk about him like he’s a criminal. No priors. Just got caught up where he probably shouldn’t have. Praying for the family. Can’t wait to see him get out. And if you’re grown and all you have to do is sit behind a computer and talk bad about people then maybe you should take a look at yourself.

Thousand of young people die every day because of drug dealers like this. Homes and vehicles are broken into to get drug money. Granted, this young man needs help, but there are consequences for his actions. And, yes, we did call an ace an ace when it came to our own family member making the same very bad choice. Wake up and realize that these drugs are an epidemic that must be dealt with before it poisons more of our society and destroys families.

  15. No Excuses on September 28th, 2017 5:42 pm

Whether from rebellion, laziness or just plain ole stupidity, this kid is paying the price for HIS choices. I agree with Chris in that junkies bear some of the blame too since they buy the stuff and keep these dealers in business. He deserves some jail time for his actions, but not a totally ruined life. Now is the time to “come to Jesus” to use a military term. He needs to realize how and why what he was doing was wrong and then make decisions to correct it. There are programs in prison and out of prison that he can take advantage of and find a legal way to make a pretty good living, should he CHOOSE to do so. If not, then he may as well reserve his cot because he’ll be back in prison, or dead in a few years.

Drug money is not “easy money”. Most people in this lifestyle end up dead, in prison or both. Get out while you can with this offense. Make it your life changing moment to get on the straight and narrow.

I work with drug dealers everyday. The ones who make it are the ones who make a conscious choice to change and to better themselves so that they don’t fall back into bad habits. Others are not so smart and I usually tell them they’ll be back because they don’t have the intestinal fortitude to change for the better.

People CAN change – just need to see the reason they should.

  16. JP on September 28th, 2017 4:49 pm

Did the kid make a mistake? Absolutely. Is he a good kid? Absolutely . Folks shouldn’t throw stones from a glass house. Every one makes mistakes.

  18. Cottage Hill Resident on September 28th, 2017 3:18 pm

I love how some people say using drugs is a victimless crime. Yes using the drugs in itself is a victimless crime. But a good percentage of users and dealers eventually turn to other crimes as a means to support their habits. From robberies, shootings, thefts, burglaries, DUI, shopliftings, and murder look close at the crimes committed in this county and you will realize its drug motivated. So if you pop someone for the drugs what you don’t see is the other crimes prevented in the future by their drug use or selling of drugs.

  19. Person on September 28th, 2017 3:18 pm

I read these comments and it’s so sad you people say these judgemental things. If you think he’s just some no good drug dealer, you did not know Brian. He was talented and had things going for him. Everyone saying rude comments def wouldn’t be saying that if it were you’re child. Casting judgement on someone isn’t helping anyone and you’re not going to gain a thing doing it. So how about you just pray for Brian , instead of judging him.

  20. Chris on September 28th, 2017 2:00 pm

No one ever forced a junkie to buy drugs. this guy isnt ruining peoples lives, they have ruined their own. How many doctors readily prescribe opiates? How many good people are now struggling with that addiction because of a doctor. Lets not judge so quickly and yet be blind to the reality that big pharma is the biggest drug dealer out there and no one bats an eye. I think every one of you who has criticized and cast judgment on this kid is a hypocrite.

It really hurts me that Bryan has let his life be like this. He had so much going for himself and he had so much talent. He’s a very bright kid and is more than just some low life drug dealer. I look up to Brian and I’m not gonna let this ruin my opinion of him. None of yall actually know the kid…yall are just treating him like a stereotype.

  23. Amclemore on September 28th, 2017 12:01 pm

to those who keep saying he is an awesome person etc, he may be but he has made some poor choices in his personal time. Those choices have legal consequences. If it was my own family I wouldnt pay the bond. Breaking the law is breaking the law. I do not feel bad for people who go out of their way to make poor choices. He wasnt just in the wrong place at the wrong time, he knowingly was breaking the law for his own gain. I am by no means saying he wasnt a good person to others etc but this choice got him in a place he probably never dreamed he would be.

  28. Me on September 28th, 2017 10:24 am

The comments bother me. I read the other day about a drug bust and the comments was “another no good drug dealer off the street”. They said I hope he gets life someone even pulled up the young man’s prior arrest history. He’s 19 and is a full fledged drug dealer. Do you see what he was caught with? That’s nothing to him, that was just he’s normal beach oral. They better not let him out. He’s a threat to society. People like him will just get back out and keep selling drugs. But I bet he gets probation and he is just got selling drugs while on probation out his wealthy parents home and they’re gonna say we had no idea.

To: Kristy Freeman “This young man came from a well off family. He is an awesome young man. ” well off families are NOT EXEMPT from issues. One of the private schools there in town is one of the worst for prescription drug sales. Wealth and outward appearances doesn’t equate success in all facets of life. It is unfortunate that this young man made some very poor choices and he will have to deal with the consequences of those choices. Also “Everyone makes mistakes and I guarantee you he has now realized this. ” I agree that everyone makes mistakes at some time in their life it is what makes us human, but these mistakes have LEGAL consequences and regardless if he regrets it there is still legal action that must be made. We cannot just let him go because he regrets it, would we do that to someone who committed murder? Well he regrets it so he wont make that mistake again. Sometimes it takes hitting really bad rock bottom to see how wrong are mistakes are and for that he will pay for the rest of his life unfortunately.

You think as a society we would learn that prohibition has failed every time. One more taxpayer supplied bed for 50k a year and we are congratulating the criminal justice system for doing a good job. Next week we will read about a violent home invasion and that person will not be caught, or will be released back on the street, but when we are spending half our criminal justice budget on dopes and mopes, do not be surprised at what we have become. Tax and regulate drugs just like we do with alcohol, smokes, and chew, and lets cut budgets and invest in American jobs.

  35. Jim on September 28th, 2017 8:15 am

@Krist Freeman – this isn’t a “mistake” – is a conscious choice. One doesn’t become a drug dealer with this variety of merchandise accidentally. It takes a history of use, small sales, and arrogance to get to this point. While I also believe in forgivenesz when one truly repents and changes, I also believe in being honest about whre this guy is. He may be an “awesome young man”, but he’s a dealer who has chosen to allow the ruin of other’s lives out of greed.

  36. Kristy Freeman on September 28th, 2017 7:29 am

This young man came from a well off family. He is an awesome young man. Everyone makes mistakes and I guarantee you he has now realized this. His Mother and Father are both outstanding parents. I am praying for Brian and his family, and maybe some of you should too.

Wow, just wow. He is gonna have a rough time of it in prison, makes you kinda wanna feel sorry for him, as much as I hate dopers and dope pushers. 19 is young to have a ruined life. Doing 45 in a 30 is just plain stupid, esp in a heavily patrolled area as the beach. Hopefully he has clean record up to now, and the judge goes a little easier on him bcuz of his age. One prior incident and he is cooked, I’m afraid. Either way, party’s over Brian. No one is ever gonna wanna hire you. :(
