Cantonment Man Facing Drug, Burglary Tool Possession Charges

September 19, 2017

A Cantonment man was arrested on multiple felony charges after deputies found him in the early morning hours on a street that had recently been hit by a rash of car burglaries.

Escambia County deputies reported finding  36-year old Jeffrey Scott Walker in a Nissan Altima parked next to a privacy fence on private property off Wasatch Range Loop, east of the Mobile Highway intersection.

After deputies observed the ripped-off corner of a plastic baggie next to the driver’s door of Walker’s car, a K-9 was called and alerted on the vehicle.

Deputies reported finding multiple baggies of crystal methamphetamine with a combined weight of 18.4 grams, multiple baggies of powder cocaine with a total weight of 2.2 grams, 30 amphetamine  tables, a digital scale and two burnt glass pipes with residue. Walker was also in possession of a “daily log” notebook which is often used to record drug transactions, according to an arrest report. In the trunk of the vehicle, deputies found a large bag containing “slim jims” and metal lock picking tools in a bag labeled “vehicle lock picking tools”.

Walker was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, loitering and prowling, and possession of burglary tools with intent to use.

Walker was released from the Escambia County Jail on a $66,000 bond. His vehicle, $129 in cash and the lock picking kit were seized by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

I agree with CHARLIE MIKE. The courts are not tough on drug crimes, bet this thug has a prior record. Drug rehab is not an option. Lock him up.

Hey Pop: Your statement is ridiculous in and of itself, but the article clearly says “Walker was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia”.

Whomever bails these losers out should be held equally liable for any further crimes. Just my opinion.

This kind should be with no bond. He is right back out to continue what he started.

C’mon Pop, you don’t really think that they just handed him the illegal drugs back when he was released from jail and told him to have a nice day do you?

I used to work at a store that he would come into every day & I started to noticed that he was then coming in right before we would close & sit in his car until we would leave & he would be parked next to my car every night. Very very creepy & always called the store asking for me, asking me to meet him after work & I finally told my boss & he started walking with me to my car every night.

Did they just let him go with the drugs? Doesn’t say nothing about them being seized!

Well one more drug dealer and user off the road. It would be great if Sheriff’s Dept. were more observant. A lot of times they ignore obvious users and dealers.

Maybe the transaction log had names with phone numbers. That would be a lucky find. Wasatch Range Loop is near Blue Angel Pkwy and Mobile Hwy. The article didn’t say whether or not the Nissan he was in was stolen and if the property he was on was his.

Put this guy away for good. There is no going back now. He is selling meth and probably using it. He is to the point he does not care. This is a nation of laws and rules, not anarchy. Meth can and will bring entire communities down to the pits and ruin families and lives and there is no telling how many lives he has helped ruin by selling meth. Start putting these people away for good and quit this while “rehab” false belief.

I wonder if they have been looking for him . I also drive a Nissan Altima and I was pulled over the other day for no reason .. lady told me she ran my tag and hit a wrong button saying the tag didn’t belong to my car then said it was her mistake.

He’s a poison peddler, a ruiner of lives, a thief, and all around scum of the earth – put him away so that he’s an old man when he is released.
