All Escambia Schools Open On Tuesday

Escambia County (FL) School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas has announced that schools will resume all normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017.
“Thankfully, we have been spared the impact of Hurricane Irma, so we will return to normal operations on Tuesday,” said Thomas. “All Escambia County (FL) public schools and offices will be open tomorrow, Sept. 12, 2017 at their normal time. Transportation provided to students will also resume as normal. Local weather forecasts indicate more favorable conditions than previously anticipated.

Of the Hurricane Irma evacuees am wondering how many students, and their families, will remain here in Escambia County because they have no homes, schools, jobs that they can return to?
