The driver of the 18-wheeler lost control for an unknown reason and ran off the roadway, with the truck coming to rest in a wooded area.

The 29-year old male driver was transported by Santa Rosa County ambulance to a Pensacola area hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

The accident remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. The McDavid Station of Escambia Fire Rescue and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.

It appears that the driver was just trying to pick up a new pine scented air freshener for his truck…

A Santa Rosa Ambulance had to transport the driver. Where were t h e Escambia Ambulance that was to cover that area? During calls in Pensacola? North-end look out, Escambia Co. Wants to cut out the services of Atmore Ambulance in the north-end…Will we have to wait on Santa Rosa. In Walnut Hill? Think a bout this…l

Glad the driver is going to be okay.

FIRST THING, I am glad to hear that the drive was not seriously injured and second of all that no one else was involved.
With all of the rain we have had recently, water ponding on the roadway has really been a problem, however, I am not discarding other reasons for the crash.
PLEASE lets be more aware of our surroundings for all reasons, crashes, theft of property, kidnapping etc…
As you can tell by my name I have 16 grand-babies and I worry about them everyday!
Love one another as GOD has loved us.
