North Escambia Native Rebekah Bydlak Running For Florida House

August 2, 2017

Republican Rebekah Bydlak of Cantonment has filed to run for the Florida House seat currently held by Clay Ingram. Ingram can’t run again due to term limits.

During the 2016 primary, Bydlak ran for Congress, taking fourth place in an eight-candidate race.

“I have dedicated my life and professional career to fighting for conservative principles as a  private citizen,” said Bydlak upon announcing her run for the Florida House. “For too long we have witnessed the same politicians saying one thing at home and doing another when elected,  all the while getting nothing done. I’m running to fight for our conservative values and deliver for Northwest Florida.”

Bydlak is currently the executive director of the Coalition to Reduce Spending, an advocacy organization dedicated to reducing federal spending and debt.

“I’ve been humbled by the encouragement I’ve received from family and friends alike in weighing this decision,” Bydlak said. “After much prayer and consideration, I have decided to announce my candidacy for the Florida House.”

Bydlak was home schooled her entire life before attending Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida. She holds a master’s degree in political science and public administration from UWF. She lives in Cantonment with her husband, Jonathan.

    Right on Rebekah!
    She has my support.
We do not need more people who are experienced in political corruption!
We need representatives who will just say NO. This is not rocket science, we should be talking about limited government! Rollback these enormous governments and back off our Freedom!

Our governments have become ridiculously Huge and very experienced in The art of wasting our labor, abridging our Liberty , overtaxing us, overregulating us, over legislating us, well the list can go on & on!

    Sincerely
    One fed up USA Patriot

“she has never served in the arm forces getting real tired of non veterans running for office state or federal”

Data from the DoD and VA puts the total active duty + veteran population somewhere around 8%. I think maybe the other 92% of the population would disagree.

What is her professional experience aside from the coalition?

I remember she was endorsed by Ron Paul during the 2016 Primary. That impressed me a lot and earned her my vote then.

@S Do Not Call Rights do not extend to landlines if they are political, emergency, or other purposes where the caller isn’t trying to sell you something. They do apply to wireless numbers though.

So a few things concern me about this first what is she running on less spending ok
Second she has a degree in political science so does she have any real world. Oh she is head of a organization to cut spending. Third she has never served in the arm forces getting real tired of non veterans running for office state or federal .last but not least her age I just don’t feel she has what is needed at this time to lead .Maybe go for commisoner or something to cut her teeth on . I do be live I will wait and see where the party puts its .money and then make an educated decsion . but best of luck to her

I’m thinking the fact that she was “home schooled her entire life before attending Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida,” say a lot about her dedication. That, “she holds a master’s degree in political science and public administration, “also says a lot about her.
Good luck to you, Rebekah. We need a Republican with strong conservative values. So many have professed to be and then turned their backs on those values only to follow the agenda of the masses.

“For too long we have witnessed the same politicians saying one thing at home and doing another when elected, all the while getting nothing done.”

Is it just me, or is this the campaign promise of every politician? Why would she be any different?

Experience will be a question. She seems very young to have dedicated her “whole life”.

Congratulations! I know you’ll continue to make us proud. Prayers and other support will be forthcoming. I agree with “S” about robo calls.

Campaign by getting out in our community. Please NO Robocalls – my landline is not your right to call. Our friends and family feel as we do. Good Luck to you.
