James Bledsoe

James Bledsoe, 82, of Cantonment, FL passed away Monday, July 24, 2017. He was born October 7, 1934, in Pensacola, Florida to John and Myrtle Bledsoe. Master Chief Bledsoe served 21 years in the United States Navy. He served in the Korean War and Vietnam. He enjoyed bass fishing, camping, motorcycles and old cars. He was a member of the Elks Club and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne of 59 years; grandson, Matthew Purvis; parents, John and Myrtle Bledsoe; and his brother-in- law, Jim Wanberg.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen McCulloch (Gary) and Barbara Purvis; granddaughters, Kristen Huckstep (Brannon), Jamie Haynes (Eric) and Michelle Truitt (Scott); great-grandsons, Ryan, Alijah, Nicholas, Aydan, Adrian, Connor and Phox; great-granddaughter, Zoey; sisters, Betty Wanberg and Gladys Docherty (John).

Funeral services will be Friday, July 28, 2017, at 9 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North.

Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is entrusted with the arrangements.

    Sorry Jim has left us. He was a super person and brighten the morning at Fran’s. Also the Homestead will not be the same.
