Laurel,
No matter what issue you may have, running away and worrying and embarrassing your parents, endangering yourself, and involving other people plus the community and police is not the solution honey.
If ya’ll need some counseling or some other help you need to seek it out at this time.
When my sister and I were about 13-15, we thought we knew it all and ran off for just a bit, it worked out OK but spent the night on a sliding board on a winter night in New England and tried to trudge back home in the snow but our parents had locked us out (good parents) and said they will not put up with that.
Tough Love…45 or so years later we are all doing fine but if you do not get help or parents lay down “the law” you may not fare as well.
Ours told us if we did it again to just keep on going and never come back.
We decided we had it pretty good (and we did) It was a battle of wills and independence but also a lesson in respect. We also had counseling and were told we would be enrolled in reform school if we kept it up.
We apologize and mean it.
Tough love. Good Love
(Hi Mom and Dad
Hoping all turns out well, prayers for safe return.
I hope they hear from this young lady soon. In reference to an Amber Alert being issued or not, this info is from the FDLE site: To activate an AMBER alert the following five (5) criteria must be met:
The child must be under 18 years of age.
There must be a clear indication of an abduction.
The law enforcement agency’s preliminary investigation must conclude that the child’s life is in danger.
There must be a detailed description of child, abductor and/or vehicle to broadcast to the public.
The activation must be recommended by the local law enforcement agency of jurisdiction.
@eDavis
I believe as Amber alert can only be issued if a known person has taken the person and a tag number is available on the vehicle.
Hope this girl is found safe. If she is able to, she should at least call and let someone know she is ok
.
Amber Alerts are for children that have been kidnapped.
Prayers go out to the family and I hope to God that she is safe but my question is why wasn’t an AMBER alert put out I’m not quite sure how they do it but it comes across my phone all the time
My prayers are with this family and this child. God protect her!
Prayers that this child be found safe
