Four Charged With Shooting Of ‘Associate’ On Rawson Lane

June 28, 2017

Four people have been charged with the shooting death of their “associate” early Sunday morning in Escambia County.

Juston Ladonte Donson, 22, died as the result of a gunshot wound to the head. He was one of the people that shot into a residence in the 6100 block of Rawson Lane early Sunday and was hit by what investigators called “friendly fire”.

Donson was found by neighbors wearing a ski mask and with an obvious gunshot wound in the front yard of a home on Rawson Lane about 6:16 a.m. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office determined that the shooting actually occurred about 4:45 a.m.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death — Trevon Demarcus Lewis, 16; Dywane William Woodrow, 20; Tre’Shaun Rydell Ulmer, 19; Demetric Jamartia Milhouse, 23.

“Here’s the twist on this particular story,” Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan said, “While Mr. Donson was a victim of these individuals, Mr. Donson was also a party to the arrival at that address on Rawson Lane. He was actually a part of this group…Mr. Donson was the victim of friendly fire.”

“He was an unintended victim,” Morgan added.

The shooting was retaliatory and drug-related, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Amber Bernard said. There had been a previous altercation between an individual that was inside the house and one of the suspects.

Each of the four people involved in the shooting have been charged with principal to murder since the Donson’s death came during the commission of a felony.

My sympathies for the deceased family. I personally witnessed his sister when she got the phone call that he had been killed. She was at work and I was a customer in the business. Witnessing first hand the shock and pain she was going thru was truly heartbreaking. I make no excuses for her brother or his actions. Everyday we see and hear about VIOLENCE and CRIME and not once do these CRIMINALS stop and think about how there actions are going to affect others (their own families, the victims of their crime, innocent bystanders, etc) I AM JUST SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THE VIOLENCE, CRIME, HATE AND LACK OF RESPECT FOR LIFE WE ARE SEEING ON A DAILY BASIS ALL OVER THE WORLD.

They should go through the justice system. Remember they are given the presumption of being innocent until proven guilty in a court of law! Then if found guilty punish them to the full extent of the law.

Been sayin it for a while. “Get your ccw permit. Arm your self. Be prepared to defend your self or your family. These animals would kill you or your kin for a oreo cookie.

Maybe a longer conflict resolution session between the associates would have led to less Associates to be dealt with later.??

Couldn’t we have a program, similar to D.A.R.E, that would educate young people about the risks and dangers of gang activity. Smart people know better, but everyone is not smart.

@ Jet: Seriously? I hope not! These punks couldn’t hit the house that was their intended target when it was right in front of them; they endangered everyone around, including innocent people who had nothing to do with their little drug drama. If they left their “friend” lying dead in the front yard for neighbors to find, what makes you think they care what damage they do or who suffers for it?

“No charges should be filed in this case. This was a private matter between all involved.”
    Jet,
You must not know much about the law. This thug was killed by one of the 4 other thugs during the commission of a crime. They should all be charged with murder.

I’m so sick of all this. Yes they should all be charged, if they hadn’t been up to no good to begin with their “associate” (lol @ that term) wouldn’t have been killed. How about get real jobs, stop acting like fools and grow up.
