Tate High Band Concert Tonight At Hillcrest

The Tate High School Spring Concert will be tonight at 6:30 at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
The concert will feature the concert band, symphonic band at the wind ensemble.
The Tate Band will also “pass the hat” to collect money for instruments, music, and items damaged at Workman Middle School last week. Lightning struck their orchestra room and it caught fire…destroying most everything in it.

I think it is nice that they are going to pass the hat but let it be known that the band and band hall is fine at workman, it was the orchestra portable that was destroyed. Some school owned instruments were burned, but students who didn’t take their instruments home lost personal instruments. Signed, the mom who always insisted that her kids bring their instruments home every day.
