Jerry Douglas Thomas, age 61, of Pensacola, was called home Sunday, March 14, 2017. He was born May 7, 1956, in Pensacola, Florida to the late Homer and Gladys Thomas. Jerry was a member of the Poarch Band of the Creek Indian tribe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Jerry Thomas and Robert Taylor.

Jerry is survived by his sons, Robert Thomas and Kenneth Thomas; siblings, Barbara Cardwell, Sandra Smith, Wylene Perkins, Diane Steenerson, Shirley Pittman, Larry Thomas and Gary Thomas; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers are Kenny Perkins, Jason Steenerson, Nathan Thomas, Eli Thomas, Pete Walker and Junior Taylor.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017, Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Pastor Steve Ward will officiate. Friends are welcome one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service at Judson Cemetery in Poarch, Alabama.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is in charge of arrangements.
