I believe the Florida State law allows for trains to block an intersection a minimum of 13 minutes. I had called about this years ago and a Commissioner told me that trains can block an intersection up to 13 minutes but could have changed by now since that was back around the mid – 90’s. CRAZY

Everybody always wants to blame an intersection or a bridge for the cause of an accident when 98% of the time someone is not paying attention. I do hope all is well with all those involved.

So thankful no one was seriously hurt. That is a bad intersection there. A lot of accidents at that spot.

    Mike
You said it just right! Very polite yet true. I agree.

That actually is a new word in the dictionary recently coined but a very real occurrence— Intexticated:

“Intexticated is a term coined to refer to an individual who is distracted by texting or composing an email on a handheld device while walking or driving, and is therefore unaware of the surroundings.”

I had some one walk right into me from behind in a store the other day as I paused to get a cart going in.

Close encounter,–slammed right into me. Kinda ticked me off actually.

Wreck had just happened when I came up on it heading south. Hope all are okay. Driver still in overturned car when I went by and folks in both lanes heading south going thru light still were not slowing down. Sort of a blind spot at Tate.

Thanking our good Lord above for his protecting hand upon everyone during this time. Something SERIOUSLY needs to be done about this intersection, couldn’t even begin to count how many ACCIDENTS have happened right here. Can’t believe nothing has been done yet. And folks come FLYING around that corner so it’s kinda hard to judge sometimes. Thankfully everyone walked away unharmed this time!

I wish people with these lifted trucks would realize how top heavy and unstable they are. Seems like I see one rolled over at least once a week on here.

The sad part is that the over traffic on roads not meant for it – is a direct cause from the trains holding up traffic for 30-40 minutes in front of the paper mill – I waited 30 minutes before I turned around and the traffic on tate school road – kingsfield and 297A was crazy and then back on to muskogee road to 29 crazy – IT SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW FOR THEM TO BACK UP A STATE HIGHWAY……

Oh man, nice Chevy! (Was) I hope all are okay. Tate School, Kingsfield…& these 2 are not the only here recently in this area, makes ya wonder about why so many accidents. Everybody be safe, slow down, & no driving while intexticated! :(

People really need to watch what they’re doing when they’re driving! !! Thank god for watching over my son and his cousin during this!
