Homeowner Catches Burglar
April 29, 2017
An Escambia County burglar got more than he bargained for Thursday, including a stop by the hospital before heading off to jail.
Luis I Bardisa, 40, broke into a residence in the 8000 block of Binkley Street, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. After threatening the homeowner and his girlfriend, Bardisa ran off and the homeowner followed, eventually catching up. Bardisa received facial injuries while the homeowner restrained him until deputies arrived.
Bardisa was transported to a local hospital before being booked into the Escambia County Jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed burglary of an occupied residence, trespassing and larceny.

So Gary, “The home owner should have put him down like a rapid dog”. Is that like a Greyhound? I mean why would anyone put down such friendly and wonderful dogs just because that are fast? (rapid) LOL
@Chris—I am not trying to be the spelling police, but there is a huge difference between “corner” & “coroner”, which is what I think you meant. You gave me my humor for the day! Thanks!
Whoops, did i just threaten all crooks? Isn’t that assault.
I too intend to kill anyone who breaks into my house. It is not murder or intent, just a warning. I will defend my family and my home with your life bad guy, so stay away please.
Looks like he fell on his way out.
Ok, I’m waiting for comments from the burglar’s family telling everyone not to judge him because we don’t know his story and how hard his life is….
There should be a like button on stories like this.
Luis you have to be careful you could get hurt in this new job you are undertaking. Next could be the Undertaker.
“received facial injuries while being restrained by the homeowner”…….AWESOME RECEPTION!!!! He’s lucky the homeowner only allowed him to “receive” facial injuries!!
@ Chris
NEVER “call 911 and tell them to also send the corner”
DO call 911 and tell them someone broke into your home and “appears to be injured”
Otherwise, you are setting yourself up for some serious, expensive, legal problems.
Glad the idiot got his head beat in, doubt he’s learned anything.
Stupid is as Stupid does.
I think the homeowner used good judgement. Also stating on here that you would have killed him isn’t to smart. It shows intent no matter who the perpetrator is. That is murder, not stand your ground or any other defense.
The home owner should have put him down like a rapid dog.
@ Bama
No different than a law enforcement chasing a burglar down. Now for any attorney taking his case in a law suit would be an stupid. ( my opinion) If he would have broken into my home his family would be planning a funeral. I’am sure he is an outstanding individual , goes to church ,will give you the shirt off his back, just made a mistake, I could go on for ever. Just another scum bag .( my opinion)
Evidently the suspect tried to beat up the man’s knuckles with his face.
What you want to bet he files a law suit against the guy for beating him ? What’s sad he could win too he was not in the house or on property the man admitted he chased him down .cudos for beating the crap out of him though
He is very lucky that he only received facial injuries injuries while being restrained by the homeowner. He must have run into the homeowners knuckles!!
Too dang bad the homeowner didn’t have a gun and got him right between the eyes. I don’t know either, the ScumBag or the homeowner. I do know it would have saved us the taxpayers a lot of money and we wouldn’t have to ever worry about this trash breaking into a home again. I don’t like violence but if someone breaks into my home I will call 911 and tell them to also send the corner. Smdh people have gone dang crazy and we need to protect our families and our castles.
hahahahaha, idiot! Good job homeowner, he looks great.
Ha! Ha! Ha! Lookin good!!!!
