Deputies Remove Meth Lab From Cantonment Home
April 5, 2017
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office cleaned up methamphetamine lab inside an unoccupied home in Cantonment Tuesday.
The ECSO received a tip that meth lab was inside the home on Lakeview Avenue near Forrest Street. A narcotics team responded and safely disposed of the meth lab.
There were no arrests made, according to the ECSO. An investigation continues.

I am offended by that comment made by D, about follow folks buying Sudafed to lead to others. I occasionally buy Sudafed or claratin D , due to sinus issues, and that is it.!! Why waste law enforcement time on such as that?!? They should be out there dealing with real issues instead of chasing dead end ideas in the hope that they may catch some dopeheads and be a hero. Some people have better things to do!! Geez
@ Mike, yes calls are made, things get done sometimes, but the offenders come right back home afterwards. ECSO needs to make it very uncomfortable around the area, then they will go on somewhere else, or maybe, just maybe, clean up their lives?
You people out there messing with Meth – you’re going to get seriously hurt or killed by that crap. I don’t mean using it, I mean making it. My friend’s son who lived in Seminole AL had a meth lab in his mobile home. Guess what? It blew up and he suffered major burn damage to his manhood parts. I don’t feel sorry for him at all. It’s illegal and stop making it and using it.
Good Job ESCO for making a difference in the Village. Too many older folks living there for years shouldn’t have to put up with this crap from these drug addicts.
“Well Line”…there are a couple of em on your street, beware
To well line rd…not everyone who lives in this area is dealing, making, or doing drugs. I don’t appreciate being lumped under an umbrella statement like you made. You live in the village also. There was no arrest because the current resident is already in jail.
Thankful that ESCO is doing something but there is still lots to be done.
Hopefully, all of you who seem to know where the problems are, are reporting them to the Sherrif’s Department instead of just making comments here….
Keep coming around ECSO! There’s plenty more on Forrest, Escambia and Belmont to clean up! Don’t forget the guy living in the vacant lot on Escambia.
Really, I know of at least 1 more on Forest Avenue to buy from and yes, the homeless guy living on Escambia Ave2in a vacant lot is not surprising at all. Especially since he is one seen coming from the busted vacant house on Lakeview.
Thank you ECSO but still so many houses and people just a door down from this one needs cleaned up too. Please keep coming to the Village, more to be donw
Go follow the people buying Sudafed from the pharmacy and I guarantee they will lead you to many more labs.
Now drug addicts have to go a couple doors down the street to get their stuff.
Too bad the house didn’t explodealong with the manufacturers, prior to deputies arriving, I have ZERO tolerance or sympathies with these scum that are destroying lives.
Give me a call and i can tell some more places need to clean up cantonment before its too like the
I’m glad they got that one! Keep looking guys, there is plenty more in the area! Look closely in vacant lots too, there seems to be a homeless population growing there too.
so glad to see ESCO cleaned this up, weird that there were no arrest. I don’t know why people seem to be surprised about this. that area (the village) is known for meth and has been for years. I bet they could go door to door and find all kind of drugs.
Not surprising
