Again I ask what are the responsibilities of those who pull a permit for a control burn?? It was very windy on Friday and the fire could have easily gotten out of hand. Was any of the surrounding neighbors notified of this action?

MY QUESTION STILL HAS NOT BEEN ANSWERED..IF THE CONTROLLED BURN ON HIGHWAY 196 AND JACKSONVILLE BRANCH ROAD IS A LEGAL PERMITTED BURN, SOMEONE HAD TO PULL A PERMIT..WHAT ARE THEIR LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY IN NOTIFYING THE NEIGHBORS SURROUNDING THAT AREA?? MY SPECIFIC CONCERNS ARE WITH NEIGHBORS WHO HAVE RESPIRATORY HEALTH ISSUES..MAYBE OUR ESCAMBIA COUNTY ADMINISTRATION, JACK BROWN,WHO LIVES ON HWY 196 CAN ANSWER THIS.

That property is no longer owned by International Paper. It was bought by a holding company about two years ago. We were told that they wanted to restore it like old Florida property. It will be used for wildlife especially quail, turkeys, etc.

What are the responsibilities of an individual or a business (International Paper) when a control burn permit is issued??It seems to me that neighboring residents..especially those with respiratory health issues should be notified!!!
