Suspect Arrested In Escambia Shooting Death

UPDATE: The suspect has been arrested per ECSO.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office has named a suspect in an early Monday morning shooting.
Antuan Marques Harris, 24, is wanted for the murder of a Curtis Hodge Jr.
Just after midnight on April 17th, Harris shot and killed Hodge in the 700 block of Old Corry Field Road.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area to find Hodge with a gunshot wound to the face. He did not survive.
Anyone with information on the shooting death or the whereabouts of Harris is asked to call the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 436-9620 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP.

It wasn’t safe when I was a child. Kids in cars used to intentionally run me off the road just because the car made them bigger than me on my bike. They only stopped when I started carrying a big ball bearing I fully intended to put through the windshield in front of the next driver trying to kill me. (Now with Stand Your Ground, I might have even avoided jail for fighting back.) They swerved when they saw me draw back.
People are neither better nor worse than they used to be.

@ Jason….i hear about some shootings.. I watch the local news EVERY morning & @ night..i don’t care who wins/kicked off of Dancing w/the stars..if you care..watch it or record…I want to know what is going on here..from the beach to century & especially around Barrineau Park & molino…..people are really safe anymore & it is sad..VERY SAD! i have been all over this area I call home for 53 yrs>>>I do hope they catch this guy
This area of town used to be where good families raised their children. Kids used to ride bicycles up and down these streets.
It’s not just the drugs…it’s the deterioration of our society. The infrastructure of our society has morally crumbled.
I can’t help but think this will completely consume the whole nation by the next generation…in other words…there will be no place left safe enough for a child to ride their bike…if there is now.
Any info on the person shot about 7pm in Lincoln Park off of Untriener? Or either of the two reported “Drive-By” shootings that took place off Massachusetts @ Diego Circle around 1am or the one at Harve and Medford at 12:29am? All occurring in known drug areas.
