Man Charged With Battery, Weapons Offense After Attacking Girlfriend

March 7, 2017

A Pensacola man was arrested on multiple charges after an altercation with his live-in girlfriend in Century on Sunday.

According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year old Daniel Thomas Fountain tried to hit the female with her cell phone, destroying it. He also grabbed her by her arms, held her down and demanded money. At some point during the arguments, he allegedly retrieved a handgun from his vehicle.

Before exiting the front of  house as demanded by law enforcement, Fountain allegedly tossed the gun into a wooded area behind the home on Duncan Alley.

Fountain was charged with assault and battery, possession of  a firearm by a convicted felon, and criminal mischief with property damage. He may face additional charges for narcotics found in his vehicle, according to an ECSO report.

He was also charged with battery for allegedly beating his girlfriend on March 3 at a  Pensacola Boulevard motel. She was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital for her injuries, while Fountain had fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

Fountain was booked into the Escambia County Jail  where he remained Monday with bond set at $13,500.

This guy is a loser. Who would even hire this guy?
Is IQ must be 0 as indicative of the ugly tattoos on his face. Maybe he will go to prison as a career criminal for the rest of his life.

I’m sure he has a great paying job. According to most on his facebook page they all seem to be self employed and “makin’ dat money”. Gee, I wonder why they have to be self-employed? Could it be that no company on the planet short of Barnum and Bailey would put them to work? Lots of baby-momma’s, baby-daddy’s and Circle K cashiers on his page too. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm.

Whoa, he actually had or has a girlfriend?

I remember this guy now, from lunch at Fran’s (Jimmy’s) Diner, several years ago. He had his head shaved bald back then and he appeared saturated with tattoos.

I, as I ate my meal, kept thinking about Ray Bradbury, Rod Steiger and how in of all luck I managed to get a table next to the Illustrated Man..?

Fountain will get what’s coming to him. I cannnot believe the judge set a bond for such a dangerous suspect, one who was willing to use a gun to demand money. I think these judges have forgotten why laws were ever made.

What exactly is so attractive about this type of loser? Bears his girlfriend up – and she goes back to him??? I can’t begin to imagine her thinking – or lack of it.

  12. Confusef on March 7th, 2017 11:39 am

I’m wondering what kind of person would want tattoos all over their face like that. And what woman would ever find that to be attractive?

Wow, 26 years old and his life is a mess, if not ruined. I pray this man finds Jesus before its too late for him.

What do you expect , with judges in this county not doing there job, these sorry no good pieces of garbage are right back out on the street. Yes this guy is a Boyette in the making if not already there. With the one particular female judge that is notorious for not granting DVI orders no wonder more and more women are getting abused. I personally witnessed a friend via FACETIME whose husband broke into her house and tried to attack her with a metal pipe and luckily she was able to escape before he hit her in the head. He even told the judge that he didn’t know what he would have done if he had gotten a hold of her. Even with myself and her daughter as a witness this FEMALE JUDGE who is apparently the head judge would not grant a DVI Domestic Violence Injunction, The judge said since he never physically hit you, there is no cause to issue it, The judge told him to stay away from the house, 2 hours later he was back at her house and continues to stalk her. Why should she call the police when all the judge is going to do is nothing like she did before.. I was granted a 2 year DVI by a different female judge against a neighbor who threatened to kill my family and sexually assault my wife and kill my son, The neighbor walked over to my yard tries to hit me misses and I knock him out the police come and arrest him and I successfully get the DVI placed on him, THESE JUDGES NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

I’m not one to usually judge a book by its cover, but I will make an exception here. If you see someone who looks like this don’t get in a relationship with them. Hopefully this guy ends up where he belongs.

    Re: bond

Remember, the amount of bond a person pays is not punishment. In fact, THEY GET THAT MONEY BACK WHEN THEY COME TO COURT. Bond is only to ensure they return for court. His punishment comes when he is convicted.

I can’t understand why Anyone would have face tats..
I also can’t understand why a woman would want a person who put himself in an unemployable position.
I laugh in their faces when I see these fools.. :)

Who set that bail? A relative who enjoys drama? Amazing what a woman will put up with to say she has a man! Girl, that isn’t a man.

  21. just sayin on March 7th, 2017 9:32 am

He has only one photo on his face book account with 21 comments. The comments are all from his thug friends. The thug lingo they use is just plain stupid. I will never nor do I wish to understand what makes people turn out the way he did.

  22. Bewildered on March 7th, 2017 9:17 am

This scenario shows all the warning signs of the Boyette drama. Puts girlfriend in the hospital – upon release she goes right back to him!. What will set him off next time and will it escalate beyond his misguided lover?

  23. obodabo on March 7th, 2017 8:45 am

i can’t understand how he got offered bail, with all the charges against him.sometimes i wonder ?????

  24. Jamie Irby on March 7th, 2017 8:39 am

13,500!?!? Really for a crazy person like this? Shame on you who ever set this bond.

  25. Pensacola pete on March 7th, 2017 7:43 am

According to those gang tattoos, this individual has made a lifetime commitment to violence and crime. The least the judicial system can do is reciprocate by making a lifetime commitment to him.

  26. Sam on March 7th, 2017 7:23 am

Convicted felon, on the street. I just can’t believe he would do this. Lol our justice system stinks.

  27. Gary on March 7th, 2017 6:08 am

This guy’s bond is way too low.

  28. Good grief on March 7th, 2017 5:48 am

Must be a mistake. He hardly looks like he would be capable of hurting someone…oh wait! So he beats up the girlfriend a few days ago and now he was in the position to do it again. Why would she allow it again? She has to take the blame on this one. If someone beats you up you do not give them the opportunity to do it again. He will only do what he does. Girl get your life and priorities straight. Is this what you are really attracted to? Can you not look at this guy and tell he has problems and is very selfish??? Love doesn’t hurt, love protects. Love yourself for a change because this guy doesn’t love you.
