Firefighters Battle Fairground Road Wildland Fire

Firefighters from multiple Escambia Fire Rescue stations and the Florida Forest Services battled a 10-acre wildland fire Tuesday afternoon on Fairground Road.
The fire was near Elvis Lane, about a mile south of Jahaza Road.
The were no word on the cause of the fire. There were no structures damaged, and no injures reported.

I agree with ME! Fire is a natural part of the ecosystem. If we don’t keep it going through the areas the fires we do have will get worse.
If more landowners would utilize controlled burns, these wild fires wouldn’t be near as bad. There is no reason for the majority of the woods around here to be as thick as they are. Contact a forester and get on a burn schedule.
