UPDATE: New photos released of Boyette and Rice, although deputies say she may now have orange hair. ECSO will not say when or where the photos were taken.
4pm – Sheriff David Morgan says woman shot in home invasion robbery this morning — Kayla Crocker — is in critical condition.
No information that Boyette has changed vehicles…vehicle has not been recovered.
Sheriff criticized those publishing false information or rumors on Facebook, other social media, wasting department resources to follow fake info.
Investigations on smaller property crimes being suspended, freeing investigators to work on Boyette case.

Vehicle stolen, woman shot during Beulah home invasion and robbery 6:30 Monday morning. Victim identified as 28-year old Kayla Crocker, currently in the hospital. Two year old son in house not harmed.
A 2006 white Chevrolet Cobalt with Florida tag 9613BJ was stolen. The vehicle may have right passenger door damage and it has a skull and cross-bone sticker on the back window. William Boyette was involved, according to Sheriff David Morgan. He and Mary Rice committed the crime, made a purchase at a local Shell Station and then proceeded to get breakfast at Hardee’s.
Rice has dyed her hair orange. Boyette did not exit the vehicle at the Shell or Hardees.
“Once again our suspect is mobile,” Sheriff David Morgan said. “We have called in all of our available resources.”

A massive manhunt continued Sunday and into Monday for William “Billy” Eugene Boyette Jr., a suspect in three recent murders, as the reward for his arrest increased by $1,000.
Boyette, 44, is a suspect in the shooting death of 30-year old Alicia Greer and 39-year old Jacqueline Moore in Milton at the Emerald Sands Inn on Tuesday and 52-year old Peggy Broz Friday morning in Lillian, AL.
Law enforcement officers in multiple counties spent Sunday following up on alleged sightings of Boyette, but all turned out not to be him.
He allegedly stole the victim’s car Friday in Lillian. That vehicle was found abandoned in Beulah Saturday morning on Nine Mile Road near the I-10 intersection, not far from Navy Federal. That led authorities to believe that he might be in Escambia County where he has family ties. A K-9 search around the car turned up nothing.
“I want to emphasize to the community that we are looking now, aggressively, for someone who is a killer in our community,” Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan said during a joint news conference Saturday afternoon.
“Some are saying, ’sheriff, you’re scaring our community.’ I hope I am. If Mr. Boyette and his family are listening, I intend to aggressively pursue anyone that aids, abets or assists in any way in Mr. Boyette’s continued evasion of law enforcement,” Morgan said. “We have reason to believe that he’s involved in three homicides to date. For God’s sake, let’s don’t make it four.”
Morgan, referring to Boyette as a killer, encouraged residents to be vigilant and on the lookout for him.
“I cannot overemphasize how dangerous this suspect is,” Morgan said. “Do not — I repeat, do not — in any way attempt to contact or have contact with Mr. Boyette. Get on your telephone and notify law enforcement. Citizens are not equipped to deal with this.”
He may in the company of Mary Barbara Craig Rice, 37 of Milton (pictured left). She has been missing for two days.
“We do not know where Rice is an accomplice or a hostage,” Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Office Sgt. Rich Aloy said.
Morgan acknowledged that Rice could even be dead.
“Is that a distinct possibility? Of course it is. That’s part of why we’re so concerned,” the Escambia sheriff said.
A reward for information leading to the arrest of Boyette had grown to $11,000 by Sunday night. Anyone with information on Boyette’s whereabouts should call 911. Authorities said he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

A employee of mine told me that they we in the CVS on Davis Hwy & Olive Rd yesterday at some time, and the police were called after they left can anyone check on this ?
Good question…where ARE the helicopters? Even if the ECSD doesn’t have one, we are surrounded by military bases that do, and local law enforcement is working with state agencies that also do. People are starting to question the efforts of Sheriff Morgan. Road blocks, dogs, helicopters, planes should be 24/7 but we just aren’t seeing it.
Sorry, neither looks like their carrying a gun to me. His hand is in the same manner but it isn’t a gun. The butt where the magazine goes is too long, too small, and rounded. The slide is way dramatically falred and much too big. If anything, the closest thing would be an uzi or mac.

The picture was taken at 1030 Sunday morning as stated on numerous websites. As far as where: There are several people on here and I’m sure on other websites calling for vigilante justice against this monster.(I’d never condone or incite that behavior on social media..ever. It doesn’t look good in the eyes of a jury.) It is one thing to use a weapon for protection. It is entirely a different thing to go from victim to hunter.
Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if L.E was searching in an area and members of the public looking to get the reward or put this monster down showed up? It would be a tactical nightmare not to mention a big safety issue. Imagine the blood shed and loss of life if boyette opened fire on everybody there. Also if I had this footage and I turned it over to local law enforcement and they told the public where I lived that could be a big safety concern for me because now this serial killer and/or anybody who might be helping him knew who snitched him out and where to find me. Plus telling the public would give leo’s a big disadvantage by telling the thug where they are looking.

I leave for work at 0530 and return well after 20:00 for the next three days. I never leave home with my Sig but I sure wish our Leo’s would get him already. It is however, a double edged sword because we know this maniac isn’t going to go down without a fight and I feel very scared for the Leo’s involved in taking him down. I hope it’s not true but, I’ve read a post someone wrote that they called in a tip about them being at the shell gas station to crime stoppers instead of calling 911 because they wanted the reward money. This could have caused a big delay in the police responding. The person said crime stoppers told them it would be after 1:00 before an officer could take their report. As they have to investigate all reports.
Now that we know that they took off on foot after dumping the first car close to Navy Federal, why do you think the dogs were not able track them?

I live in Lillian, it only goes to prove that you are not guaranteed safety no matter who you are or where you live. I live 2 blocks from the murder scene of Peggy Broz, it could have been me or anyone who was unfortunate enough to be in the right place at the wrong time. I would not hesitate a second if I had the opportunity to take this animal out. I agree with Sedition about a citizen militia. We need to be ready I just heard that he shot a 4th woman. She is pregnant and is in critical condition, I think it was near nine mile somewhere..

I just don’t get it. They dropped the car on Beulah Rd by Navy Federal ? No one saw them?? There were cars on that road at that time.They had dogs out,,but they “didn’t pick up anything” ???? They were WALKING !! And the dogs didn’t pick up anything?? OK. They got GAS and BREAKFAST in an area that is FULL of cars going to work???? They made it to the Florida/Alabama line welcome center????? WHY WAS THERE NOT A BLOCKADE ON THE LINE ?????? What is WRONG? This is turning into the Keystone Cops ! Now,,they are IN THE WOODS ?? I know LEOs are “aggressively” looking for him, but it’s far past the time to step up the efforts and be even more aggressive because right now our law enforcement and our citizens are losing badly and this thug is doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants and everyone is in extreme danger.
Citizens ARE equipped to handle this situation (although I’m starting to wonder if our sheriff is also) and it’s time we do so. Shoot him on sight!

Well in my view the community should be concerned with someone like this running around. If his family is helping him then they deserve to be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law and, I know this sounds harsh but, take all their property and items for the victims families. As someone stated, a real man does not do this stuff to women. I can say that if I ran across him, all I need to know is it is him and the rest would be history while I collect my reward. Better him down and the people of the state not having to pay many years for him to sit behind bars waiting on appeals before a needle is inserted or given a life sentence where he is better off that the general public. Harsh view, YES, but one from a retired officer from another state who knows that some are no different than a rebid animal due to their actions. How do you deal with that?

Thinking he killed the lady in Lilian for her car, but the two ladies that lost their lives in Milton??? Was that intentional because he knew one or both of them?? I count myself lucky enough to have known the victim, Peggy Broz. She is/was a wonderful, beautifull person. I am heart sick for her family. There are no better people than the Broz family. Please pray for them.

Just to add to that. I seriously believe if he is taken taken out by a group of citizens and they are wise enough to simple say “man down” and call law enforcement. And when they come and ask what happened, “what do you have to say about this?”You should all simply say, “I will co operate, I plead the fifth amendment, am I free to go?”
It work both ways. It’s time we take our country and our streets back but in co operation with law and order be smart about it though. Just some thoughts. And do not get on social media or brag.or if media shows up…no comment. Period.

To ” confused” and “Jasmine Carter”, Mrs. Broz husband (not Boyette) found his wife on the ground outside of their Lillian Alabama home. .. Boyette is suspected of killing two ladies in Milton Fl before traveling to Lillian Al where he killed Mrs. Broz and stole her car.

Well good, I hope you’re scared enough to the point to realize we don’t live in Mayberry USA and this killer has family in Pensacola helping him. You need to be scared to the point that your are locking your doors when you sleep and are paying attention to what’s going on around you. Even without this psychopath loose on our street, the crime rate in our county would shock the majority of you, it’s frightening. Regardless of what cute spin they put on the numbers, this dirtbag just adds to the rest of the scum that hides and feeds within our community. A good reason why you should keep your doors locked and stop leaving your guns in your car, especially unlocked cars!!!!
