River Flood Forecasts

Here are the latest river flood advisories from the National Weather Service:

Escambia River At Century

The Flood Warning continues for the Escambia River near Century until further notice .At 7 p.m. Monday the stage was 16.0 feet. No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. Flood stage is 17.0 feet. Forecast to rise above flood stage and continue to rise near 20.6 feet by Wednesday evening. At 19 feet, Low lying pasture will flood and cattle should be moved to higher ground.

Perdido River near Barrineau Park

Flood Warning extended until Wednesday evening for the Perdido River near Barrineau Park until Wednesday evening. At 9 p.m. Monday the stage was 11.9 feet.  Minor flooding is forecast.  Flood stage is 13 feet.  Forecast to rise above flood stage by after midnight tomorrow and continue to  rise near 14.2 feet by tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday afternoon. At 13 feet…river begins to leave its banks at the parking lot of Adventures  Unlimited and  begins to threaten several permanently parked travel trailers.

Murder Creek at Brewton

Flood Warning extended until Tuesday evening for the Murder Creek at Brewton until Tuesday evening. At 9 p.m. Monday the stage was 21.7 feet.  Minor flooding is forecast.  Flood stage is 22 feet. Forecast to rise above flood and continue to rise near 22.7  feet. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday evening. At 22 feet…flooding of Persimmon and Ann Streets begins.
