December 12, 2016
Escambia Fire Rescue saved a cat from a house fire Sunday morning.
Firefighter Brandon Stevens from the Bellview Station of Escambia Fire found the cat barely alive during the salvage and cleanup following a house fire on Mobile Highway. He was provided the feline with oxygen and able to revive it.
Neighbors transported the cat to a local veterinarian for further evaluation..

I’m so glad that Brandon cared enough to save this little Kitty Cat. We have three cats and a dog and I love them all so much! Some people would have just moved on. Our pets are members of our family too! Great job Brandon!!!
Can anyone provide update on condition of the cat?
Heroes in our mist. ThankYou! ❤️
