Cassie Mense is constantly help out at Barnes & Noble by giving talks and demonstrations on the current projects in her classroom. Every event she helps us with I over hear teachers, media specialists, and parents say “ she is good, where does she teacher, or I want to do that in my room.” Not only are the school district employed impressed by her hard work, but or staff fondly knows Cassie as “An Army of One.” She stays all day helping to raise money for her classroom and doing continuing education for her colleagues.

My husband James and I could not have gotten through last school year without the incredible skills and unique teaching abilities that Mrs. Cassie Mense had. Our daughter Chloe was able to master some difficult tasks because of Mrs. Mense’s organized teaching style and her daily encouragement for our girl. We are grateful to have been part of such a great classroom. Part of Chloe’s successes this year is the strength and ability of learning with Mrs. Mense that she “can” become something greater than the personal negatives Chloe was working thru last year…she believes in herself because her Teacher saw such potential! We are grateful that Chloe was under such wonderful leadership! Thank you Mrs. Mense for the memories! ~ Melissa & James Houser
